Artist Pearlescent, F5600, Watercolor Paint, Assorted Pearlescent Colors - 24 Color Set

I had no idea metallic watercolors existed until I saw a demo of someone using them in a bullet journal spread. O.M.G. They were absolutely gorgeous. I had to know what she was using and she said these were the watercolors she used for the tutorial. I of course looked them up and was a bit floored that the price seemed steep for a set of only 6 colors. However, I still knew I had to have them and I went ahead and ordered. I tried them out and they look incredible. The color is nice and deep if you only use a little water and it paints a nice solid metallic line. Then if you use more water, they look more sheer. They just shimmer so beautifully. I'll definitely be ordering more colors from this brand.

I am a beginner with calligraphy - and I did lots of research before hand writing place cards for my wedding last year. This brand and product was recommended over and over for the quality of pigment, ease of use, and durability. It did not disappoint. It loosened easily with some water, and stayed put on the nib with a brush application. The pigments are beautiful. I got compliments over and over for how beautiful the cards looked. I used the lighter gold color on dark red card stock and it was very visible.

Great for working on dark surfaces. Great metallic/iridescent coverage. Extremely easy to use. Not suitable for working on white or light color surfaces, you only get a pearly sheen on light surfaces, where you get and iridescent/metallic colored result on dark surfaces, the darker the surface the better the results.

I enjoy painting with regular watercolors. I have been working on a hummingbird and bought these to be able to add that iridescent shimmer to my hummers. I am very happy with the outcome. They work well over dark colors and are more subtle on light colors and fun to paint over top of other colors. They do not rub off after dry. If you are hesitating, just buy them. You won’t be sorry!

The reviews I've seen for Finetec are totally true! These shimmer better than any other metallic watercolor (including pencils and markers) I've ever used. Two of the golds are incredibly similar and I think this would be better if one of them was swapped for something a little different (a darker silver perhaps), but overall this is a fantastic set that I've much enjoyed using. The paints rewet pretty easily. Just put a drop of water on them or mist them a few minutes before you want to paint and you'll have no problem loading them up onto your brush. Some sparkle will show up in the water after you rinse your brush, so you'll want to rinse thoroughly and change your water if you don't want your other colors getting a bit of sparkle - or, intentionally use that to add a little more shine to your work!

These watercolors are so gorgeous 😍 I haven't tried them yet, but I rated 5 stars because I've seen enough videos of them being used to know I will love them. The colors are hard to see in the listing photo, but they are the correct colors listed. They are very pale and I can't wait to see how they layer into my paintings

The newer sets are less expensive but do not include copper and bronze. This set in a metal box contains copper, bronze, olympic gold, arabic gold, champagne silver and silver. All six are different and unique and all are beautiful. It was worth the extra cost to me.

Made a quick mixed media with these on 90lb drawing paper with pastel. Absolutely BEAUTIFUL to work with. A couple drops of water in the pan and the pigments started to swirl. I was worried I would have to use a heavy hand with these, but really, a thin layer covers solidly. They do dry very quickly, so I needed to add water to the pan several times, even thought the piece was a a short, small one. I was able to erase pencil lines once the paint was dry with no issues.I read a review from someone else about rinsing in a small paint saver cup so you can reuse the pigment, and that worked really well. I was able to use the saved pigment that settled in the bottom and pour off the extra water. This will make the paints stretch even further! Highly recommend.Seriously, though. So shiny. It's like liquid foil.
