Yes, I drop my phone sometimes...Otterbox saves it, every time.No screen protector needed.And... I like the color.

I really, really like this OtterBox Commuter Series case. It is a nice slim case that slides easily in and out of my pocket without getting any external rubber getting caught. The power and volume side buttons are covered and push easily. The bottom has port covers that stop dirt, dust, lint and other items from getting into jack and charger ports. You do have to have a finger nail to open the ports to insert the charger or jack. The case goes on fairly easily and come off less easily, thereby protecting the phone from accidentally coming out of the case. The case color is a lovely shade of dark sapphire blue true to the picture "BESPOKE WAY (BLAZER BLUE/STORMY SEAS BLUE)" . The case has a dual-layer: a soft inner and a hard outer shell to absorb and deflect impacts . So far the case seems like it will be able to protect the phone from accidental drops. I have a screen protector on it (not sold with the case) which I hope will protect the phone's curved front glass. The sides of the case are even with the curved glass portion but the top and bottom cover the glass so unless the phone falls on something sticking up the case should protect the phone's glass. The case looks like it will protect the phone from all except a front side drop onto uneven surface. I have dropped the phone once in the garage and it was fine. I like this case better than the Otterbox Defender series would definitely would protect the phone. But was too bulky and had rubber on the outside of the case that catches on my pocket as I try to insert/remove the phone. Hope this case lasts as long as previous OtterBox Commuter Series case lasted with previous phone.

My phone falls a lot as I am often chasing around a toddler and juggling all the paraphernalia that accompanies a busy, active toddler. My phone has fallen at least three times, with absolutely no damage to the phone. The case isn't even showing wear. And this includes a time when my frustrated toddler hit it out of my hand and slammed it into the tile of our kitchen floor. That instance did shatter the Tempered Glass Screen Protector I had on it from Wtbone, but no other damage. And I heard that you shouldn't charge your phone with your case on it as it can cause overheating with the battery and affect the lifespan of the battery-- this case is incredibly easy for me to pop off and pop back on when I charge my phone. And the colors are really nice, also. I seriously cannot say enough good things about this case, and I've had it for over a month now. Really, excellent quality.

2 kids 2 galaxy s8's 4 years no cracks. Nuff said.Well, not really I also used the liquid glass treatment.

I've always dropped an OtterBox on my phones, and this one's already paid off when I got really clumsy. It hit the floor, and the screen protector (NOT part of this, but originally sold for $50 at Verizon store) popped off. It was starting to peel off in 3 days, so the OtterBox can't be blamed for that. I've seen people at work who dropped their phones in similar fashion and had to get a new one. Mine was not impacted (pun intended) in any way :) The price is definitely worth it to protect your smartphone given the replacement costs of them anymore.

It works so far as I drop this phone a lot. Wish I had my old Galaxy phone though I liked that phone and otter box better but the camera on this new phone is superior so I stick with it. The otterbox does the job so I can't complain. Just wish it had a thin plastic cover with it like my other phones otterbox had but it didn't. Not sure why. Hence the 4 out of 5 stars.

It's an OtterBox. It fits perfect and works great. My only worry, which is hard to address with this phone anyway, is that it does go above the phone screen on the edges. It does on top and bottom for screen drop protection, but not on the sides. I'm not sure how they would do this without interfering with the phone design itself, but it is something to keep in mind. It will not protect the screen as well as an OtterBox on a non curved screen would.

I have used Otter Box Commuter cases on multiple phones over several years. I like them because they have a relatively thin profile, but offer pretty good protection. They are slick on the back and will slide around on your dash or other surface, but by the same token, they slide easily in and out of your pocket and aren't too bulky. Works well for me. I don't use the fingerprint scanner, so I don't really know how that works with this case.

Peu importe la sorte de téléphones et tablettes Androïde ou Apple, nous achetons toujours du Otterbox. Au nombre de fois que nous échappons nos appareils, je ne prendrais pas autre chose. Jamais un de nos appareils s’est brisés. Mais nous mettons toujours une protection sur l’écran pour double protection. Ce que j’aime le plus de Otterbox, c’est la hauteur du rebord pour protéger l’écran. Le seul mécontentement que j’ai parfois, c’est le pauvre choix de couleurs ou designs.

Bought this and the Alpha Glass screen protector for my new Samsung S8 because they claim to work together, but they do not. The curved glass of the protector hooks on the edges of the case and the case forces it up allowing dust underneath.I'm keeping the case for now, but the hugely inflated cost of the "otter" brand is ridiculous, especially when it doesn't even work properly.

Je n'ai pas aimé celui-ci je le trouvais trop glissant dans mes mains j'ai failli l'échapper la première fois que je l'ai pris. Ça manque d'anti dérapent 🤔 j'ai commendé le modèle defender de otterbox. Mais il est superbe et semble très robuste je l'aurais aimé à part ça.

Protects the phone and leaves the screen free for easy touch response. Otter box has a reputation for a reason. The only brand of phone cases we use in our house, I drop my phone a lot (or my toddler grabs it and throws it) and I have never had an issue with it cracking or breaking thanks to these cases!

The case looks and feels nice and is pertty durable so far, my only complaint (and it isnt really an issue that you have to worry about) is that the plastic shell dosnt hold the top of the case as snug as the commuter case did on both my galaxy 5 and 7. It still stays on just fine with daily use pulling it in and out of my pockets and tossing it around onto tables, counters, truck dash etc. It just feels "cheaper" than the older ones, but this could also be concidered an upside for people with arthritis or just dont have a good grip in the aspect of pulling the case off to clean the case and/or phone. Dont be discouraged by the 4 star rating, if i could id rate it 4.6 stars because so far its done everything its suposed to but the little issue is holding me back from a full 5 stars.
