This cable is designed for direct burial. You can install in a conduit if desired, though it is not necessary.

This cable is designed for outdoor and direct burial applications. It is resistant to UV rays and moisture and outdoor temperatures.It is not rated for fireproof applications. For your application maybe it is better to take a look at CMR rated (riser rated) or Plenum rated cables.To use the shield it must be connected to signal ground of your equipment. There is a drain wire that you can use for this purpose.
