Excellent Welding Hood
I purchased the Miller Digital Elite a few months back now and feel like I have enough time to give a honest review. I weld for work outside for weeks on end. I put two solid Months of 8 hour days welding, grinding and cutting with this hood. This Hood is worlds better then the Millier Classic I had that I originally purchased to get my welding certifications a few years ago. The Digital Elite has a much bigger viewing window, more adjustability and different modes depending on what your doing. Like if your going from welding right to grinding, or cutting, it has specific modes just for those tasks that work excellent. XMode was a huge selling point for me on this hood along with all the other features. Often I’m welding in an odd position with my view partially obstructed. Even with the sensors blocked the hood darkens as soon as you strike an arc. Just make sure your sensitivity is set correctly depending upon how far away your work is. I did get flashed but was welding something where I was stretched as far as i could while my view was partially blocked. But once I upped the sensitivity, the hood worked beautifully. Can’t say enough good things about this helmet. Very comfortable even while wearing it for 8-10 hours a day, and the HD viewing screen is like welding in high definition. The technology is amazing. Cleaning and replacing parts on this hood is very easy as well. Even with my face 6-12” away from the work all day, the smoke barley got passed the gasket. My only gripe with this hood is I’m not a huge fan of the head gear suspension system. Even though is is extremely comfortable, I feel like is comes loose on me after a while and I’m readjusting and tightening it repeatedly during the day. I consider this a small price to pay for how well this hood excels in every other aspect of the work I do welding. Plus I can still replace the head gear with something different if I choose too. I would highly recommend this hood or the Digital Infinity to anyone looking to replace what they have or upgrade. The only differences between this hood and the Digital Infinity is the Viewing Window Size, the infinity has a clock with alarm and can track how long you weld and gives a digital readout explaining what each mode does. I opted for this because I didn’t need all the extra stuff and the viewing window on the Elite is Plenty Big enough.

Great helmet, xmode is a very useful unique feature
This is the first “professional” grade hood that i have owned in my short time as a welder. After using it for the last month or so i have to say that I am deeply impressed with both the comfort and rase of use. I purchased this helmet at the same time as my first Tig welder and it has allowed to learn so much more quickly and with less frustration than any other hood i have used. The Xmode offered on this hood is a great feature and one that i use daily. I have never been flashed wearing this helmet and when in xmode, it never darkens unless there is an arc present.

Outstanding Welding Hood, (I'm old school, it's a Hood, Not a Helmet:)
This is an outstanding Miller Welding Hood, I have used many different fixed lens welding hoods as well as one other Auto Darkening Hood. I really like the many features of the Miller Digital Elite hood, the head strap can be adjusted easily, the entire front lens assembly can be removed for cleaning or changing lens and changing the two batteries. The hood offers a welding option I've not seen on other auto darkening hoods, it's called XMode. I use this option most often. The Miller ClearLight Lens technology works very well.I would Definitely Buy again, I would highly Recommend.

Excellent welding helmet
My husband bought this recently. His other helmet had only a 'partial' window view but this one has a larger window of view. This has made a huge difference in his work day. He is very pleased with this helmet

Worth the money!
This Helmet has made me a better welder for sure. I am a detail person so when Tig welding I can see when I have to make small welds. The X mode helps me see through the helmet brighter than the standard.I use this partially, having it almost 2 years the battery’s died on it. (2450) happy with my purchase
