Great product absolutely worth the money
Been using this headset for the past 3 years, certainly worth the money. Ear pieces have started shaving and the audio tuner on the side works at basically every volume except for a few spots where only one side works. Totally work aroundable though and not an issue at all. Durable, great surround sound for competitive gaming, comfortable (even with my helix piercing).

Everything the Reviews said is TRUE
The reviews in all the tech rags couldn't stop praising these headsets. My teen gamer is "Mr. Critique" and finds problems with all the tech he goes through, but not these, he LOVES this headset, the noise cancellation is my only complaint. It's so darn good that he can't hear a foghorn 3 feet away (including this foghorn telling him dinner is ready). Surprised Amazon's price was the same as everywhere else but if I'd gone up one notch there was a good discount, in fact the $300 top version was only $49 more than these, at $150, but he wanted the connection configuration the $300 version didn't have. I've had 4 boys all gamers, so have gone through 10 or more sets from Razer, Turtle Beach, Bose, Steel, and others, but this one hands down superior. Get the desk mount, though, they're not exactly drop-proof, worth the extra 10 bucks.

Awesome but this is the wired version
The sound quality and comfort is awesome on these. I got these because the mic will disconnect when I’m not using it, avoiding the issues I had with my previous headset. My friends like the sound of my mic better on this brand and I’m very happy with the sound quality. These are very comfortable, too

Worst gaming headset. DON'T buy it.
This is a terrible gaming headset, at least for me.When plugging into my laptop, it freezes my laptop for at least 1 sec always. The worst of the worst, since I used it its sound would occasionally suddenly become very loud (as I always only set the volume at 10-15). Recently, there is USB re-connecting beeping alert sound occurring when I play WOW, and I only bought it for less than 3 months. The annoying part is that when I play games or stay in gaming screen, the sound is clear and loud as it is set to be. However, when I TAB out to do some googling or try to watch some Youtube videos, the sound volume changes to much lighter. I am not sure if it is a hardware problem or the built-in driver problem. Because there is no software needed to download to use this headset (unlike Logitech or Razor products), I have no idea to how to tune it. It seems to need to downloaded 3rd party professional software programs to configure it.So for casual players like me, I absolutely NOT recommend this headset to anyone. Combine the fame of Beyer Dynamic and its non-cheap but incompatible price, it is my WORST experience for using a gaming headset ever.

Horrible plastic selection and design choices ruin what would be a great headset.
I had read other reviews saying the same thing, but thought "It can't be that bad". But. It. Is. The plastic used for the body of the headset is just *wrong*. It conducts every bit of touch on any of the plastic or cable directly to your ear. It's like rain on sheet metal, or nails on a chalkboard.I don't even know how it is physically possible that the cable conducts touch sound directly to your ear. It's like when you put a string between two metal cans as a kid, and were disappointed that the sound didn't transmit well, except this cord does conduct sound. Running your finger on the cord makes it sound like someone is running a file over a piano string. Not only that, but other people in the call can hear it.The microphone and speaker quality are both decent, but the bad choices about the rest of the build just make this suck.In terms of comfort, it is worse than my other headset. In terms of mic quality, it's better than my other. In terms of audio quality, I can't tell the difference. But the other, cheaper headset I have doesn't have this horrific sound conduction problem.

Very good. Use these all the time now.
I've had my eyes set on MMX 300 for a long time, but when they released a new gaming headset with detachable mic for half the price, I had to get the MMX 150.While it's true its bass isn't strong, it's not non-existent. There's still some bass. The mic quality is good, but it's not really better than a cheaper headset I got which also has a detachable mic. I think mic quality has a lot to do with what's in your PC though. When using the usb, you can use noise cancellation and turn off the noise cancellation which is good if you want to drown out outside noise or be aware of the surrounding, and the volume control is nice. It doesn't work with the 3.5mm jack though. The weirdest thing is that they glued the earpads on, I can't use leather earpads for long, so I had to rip out the earpads and used replacement earpads. I had to change earpads cause wearing leather for a long time builds up oils on the ears for me. However before changing them, I was wearing them for hours comfortably, so it's not like the default leather earpads are uncomfortable, in fact they were kinda nice.Pros:-Good sound.-USB mode had good funcions like noise cancellation, being able to hear outside, and volume control.-Comfortable to wear, not too tight on my large head.-Detachable micCons:-The earpads are glued on to the ear drum part for some reason even though you can easily take off the earpad part by twisting it off, so if you want to replace earpads you basically need to rip them off.Update: I tried the headset with an external sound card raised the bass in the equalizer and it produces a lot of bass now.
