These are made with professional-feeling, heavy-weight paper and has a 2nd inner layer. As the description says, it fits A5 sheets of paper folded in half.Writing on it: The outside layer is laid paper, not wove paper, so there is some diagonal texturing that affects writing addresses. I've had no problems with using my fountain pen, unlike cheaper envelopes.

These are amazing and fountain pen friendly. It is a pleasure to use these. The glue works well and they are fine for letters or cards.
