How long can it be maintained without damage?

I don't know since I returned mine after using it twice in August 2021 as this "Titanium" technology badly frizzed my hair. In 2019 I owned the Revlon Blow Dryer/Styler/Volumizer with "Ionic" technology and it quickly straightened my thick, curly hair and lasted for 2 years when suddenly the handle overheated and I had to purchase a replacement. I bought the "Titanium" model thinking it would be an upgraded, better appliance since it's a newer and different product, has a smaller barrel, and costs $40 more than the older "Ionic" model. But for my hair it caused frizz and the "Ionic" one did not. On 9/10/21 I ordered the Revlon Ionic model priced on Amazon that day at $41.99 and it's identical to the one I had from 2019-2021. There is a 48 month manufacturer's warranty which I didn't know at the time mine overheated at 2 years. Hope this is helpful.

Is the titanium better than the normal one?

It is for me, i have thick gray naturally curly hair. I used the other one but this works so much better on my hair.

Can this be used on dry hair to style?

I used it on dry hair and it doesn’t do the job. I switched to my regular curling iron to style my hair.
