I panicked a little when I couldn’t find the power supply for an expensive Vornado fan that I purchased last year. I have found that it is often difficult to purchase parts from manufacturers ifor devices that you already own. I was going to call Vornado, but it was after hours.I decided to check Amazon, and I was a bit surprised to find that they had what I needed, at a very fair price, and it was available for delivery the next day.My power supply was delivered in excellent condition and the little plug that goes to the fan fit perfectly.In less 24 hours my fan was up and running and cooling me again . This power supply works great with my fan, thanks to Prime shipping I received the part I needed over-night with free shipping. In this very warm weather I am cool and happy again.

UPDATED to 4 stars: Very good customer service. The seller reached out to me, and even though I was ready to take the loss, he sent me a replacement. This one indeed puts out 4.8 amps. I assume I got an imperfect one last time. The drill has a lot more torque. Anyway, this may be hit or miss, like any electronic product, but make sure to contact the seller if you have a problem. They are very responsive.Clarification: it is against Amazon policy to change the rating of a product based on seller offers to you. This is not the case here. I updated it to 4 stars because the measurement is different than on the previous item.Original review: I bought this to convert a cordless drill to a corded one. It was a simple drill, 24V, 3 amps. So, I naturally assumed that a 24V 5A will provide enough power. Nope. The drill works very well without load. If I want to drill through anything, it has almost no power. Upon checking, under load, this adapter puts out less than 3 amps.I had to cut the wires to adapt it, so I obviously can't return it, but make sure you buy something that is tested and really puts out 5A.

Item as advertised. Arrived on time and packaged well. Seems like a good quality adapter. 5A instead of 2.5A that came with my fan, so heat level far less (and almost certainly better transformer efficiency).

I bought this for a small amplifier I'm playing with. The Amp specifications call for something in the range of 12 to 24 VDC at 5A. I also needed the 5.5x2.5mm connector plug.I plugged your power supply in as soon as I got it, and the amp came to life. At 24VDC, there is plenty of power to drive the small speakers I'm using.Everything worked as it should. I connected Bluetooth speakers, CD players and even my phone using pandora. In all cases the power supply worked without a hitch. The best thing you can say is I didn't even notice it and I was able to focus on the amp and peripherals with the power supply running quietly in the background.I would recommend it

Worked fine at first but only lasted until now. That's not saying much when the original is still working. It just has a noisy fan. This one won't even power up the Xbox anymore. I know it's cheap but try a different brand. This one ain't it.

I bought this as a replacement for my Hismith unit. It works great and is much more substantial than the OG equipment. Buy it if you're considering. Plus it's $20 cheaper than the Hismith replacement.
