Its okay but doubt I'll buy another ASUS MB.
I've been building home PCs since the 80s and this is by far the most troublesome board I have ever dealt with.I used the spec list from ASUS to build my system and it still has issues.Using it as a General purpose desktop rig;WIN7 64biti3-2105 (using built in graphics processor at first, which was marginally okay.)8gig Corsair CMX8GX3M4A1333C9 XMS3 8 GB PC3-10600 (see other reviews) this was one on the list, go by the compatibility lists people!HD 5770 XFX video card (latest advancement, night and day difference in graphics, obviously.)Sentey ERP400-SS 400-Watts Power Supply (See other review on this here)Thermaltake v9 Case. (Definitively NOT made to withstand any abuse. Its already out of 'square' after less than 3 months.)Corsair H70 hybrid water cooler.(NOTE: Having the fans pull cooler air INTO the case reduces tmeps by 10c, I can run idle at 27c, max is 50c; but you will be cleaning your system regularly.)-It needs a special driver for the LAN even with WIN7 (does NOT use gigabit LAN)-has a really 'bloated' UEFI interface. MOST everything is there, just not where it should be.(If the original BIOS is too hard to use, maybe you shouldn't be playing with it!)-Every time I get a major update for Windows, it seems this board has a BIOS or Memory Registration Issue.Since June I've had to reload WIN 7 Home Premium 6 times (about once a month), each time with a new fresh Hard Drive.Ive tried Sata 3.0 and 6.0 HDs thinking it could be the Marvel built in adapter having issues, but no, its not that or the DDR3 as I have changed that out several times also.-Ports and connections setup poorly, especially if you use a bottom PS case and water cooling.Hands down its a buggy board with rare or non-existant updates to correct these issues.(BIOS, etc.) and the Intel driver support for the built invideo and PCI, etc. is a joke. I normally always built a stable rig using ASUS, and have had good luck with Foxconn (AMD CPU),Gigabyte (AMD and Intel) and one MSI (Intel) board, which I thought would forever be my 'buggy' board, but this EVO takes the title finally.Does EVO stand for Everyday Verifying its Operational???

Easy install; full of features
I've built a Core i7-2600k machine with this motherboard and usingĀ Kingston HyperX 4 GB Kit (2x2 GB Modules) 1333 MHz DDR3 Desktop Memory KHX1333C7D3K2/4GX . Works great. I stuck a Kingston SSD in there and boot-up is great (a few seconds) on Windows 7.The board is full of options. It comes with a lot of tools to manage and monitor the system. I've seen some video noise when I enable GPU speed boost, but it seems to go away with a reboot (my guess is it's due to the memory I'm using, not the board). The only thing that's missing is that it only has 2 fan connectors. One is for a true chassis fan (with speed control), and one really as a sense on the PSU fan, but which also is powered, so can be used to run another fan (but runs at 100% all the time--no control). The computer does go into and out of standby very well with this board. The board also includes a number of SATA cables (a couple SATA II and a couple SATA III-6Gbps).Overall, I'm glad I waited through the recalls for this board.

Some trouble, but was able to fix.
I got the motherboard, installation was easy, its a fairly good product.Unfortunately, I had problems with random crashes. I was able to solve those by updating my drivers on ASUS's website. Others have had similar issues.(A search for "p8H67 evo random freezes" should get you to an ASUS forum where people were discussing it. I can't give the exact link because Amazon doesn't allow it.)Also, upon arrival, 2 of my RAM slots didn't work. I am using 3x 4GB Corsair Vengence 1600MHz.I RMA'd the product to ASUS and they handled it logistically nicely, although when I got the motherboard back the problem remained. When I updated the BIOS to the most recent version, one of the non-working RAM slots started working. I think both the crashes and the RAM slot problems were related to the motherboard not getting the proper voltage. All in all, I am fairly happy with it. It works, and I have 3 working RAM slots, I have no more random crashes, but I would not buy it again.

All good except the fancy graphical bios
The board goes together easy as pie and as long as you aren't planning to use the IDE hard drive port, you shouldn't have any issues with space. The only reason I knocked from 5 stars to 4 stars is that I hooked this board up to a 21" CRT to configure the system since I was going to run it as a headless HTPC and the fancy new graphical BIOS screen would not display properly on the monitor at all. Lots of graphical glitches and the screen would only show a small portion of the BIOS screen. Once I hooked it up to a 22" widescreen LCD monitor, everything looked great. So not a major issue in the long run by annoying just the same.

Solid Workhorse
This board has proven itself to be a stable platform since May 2011 when I purchased it. System assembly went smoothly, and bios setup was straightforward. An interesting surprise has been the Wake-on-LAN feature. I regularly log into this machine remotely to start a processing job. Typically I put the machine into a sleep mode and use WOL to wake it up just prior to logging in. I have found that when powered off by a "Shutdown", it will Wake-on-LAN. Other boards I have used will not wake from a shutdown.5 stars for quality, feature set, ease of setup, performance, and reliability.
