It FITS!!!!
I’ve had my Vitamix blender for over 8 years and I loved everything about it except for the actual construction of the plastic blender. It became cloudy and discolored over time and was impossible to clean—not to mention it was too tall to fit under my cabinets! Soooo excited to find this amazing stainless steel version! It functions as beautifully as the original version, so no loss of quality there. Cleaning it is a breeze as it also is dishwasher safe and best feature of all: IT FITS UNDER MY CABINET! I guess it’s the little things that truly count!

BUILT LIKE A TANK and ZERO PLASTIC
TLDR: Highly recommended for exceptional usability, durability, and **ease of clean-up** with ZERO PLASTIC.I make multiple smoothies in a week. Protein shakes - FTW! I used to use a "bullet style" blender for that. But there were two things that bothered me:ONE: the bullet container is plastic. All that stuff in my smoothie (ice cubes, other frozen things) gets rocketed around inside at a bazillion RPMs, careening off the plastic container and - over time - teeny tiny micro-particles of that container make it into my smoothie.I tried to find a replacement bullet container / vessel made of SS, but they are not readily offered from most manufacturers (compatibility may be an issue) AND you still have a plastic base - which is always in contact with your smoothie while blending - in the equation. Additionally, the container size can be a little constrained in bullet blenders.TWO: clearly the smooth sides of the clear plastic container(s) were very, very slowly getting a little more cloudy (scratched), and would did not always come clean after a run through dishwasher. This VITAMIX Stainless Steel pitcher is freaking awesome. Solved the plastic problem. Solved the capacity problem. Clean-up is crazy easy. Like I said, I use this pitcher 5 times a week and it has been a true work-horse. The laser-burned numbers / markings inside the pitcher are helpful for portion consistency and look as good as the day it arrived (May).FYI - I bought the pitcher to go on a Vitamix E310 base. It works great on that. I think they (and Amazon) could make it a little more clear / obvious which bases are compatible with this pitcher.PS: The LID is some sort of Lexan or plastic adjacent material, but it is not in contact with the food. Ever. Just there to prevent my smoothie ingredients from hitting the ceiling. LID cleans up easy too!

High quality, better than expected.
The production defect looks to be worked out. After seeing some reviews talking about poor workmanship, I had my doubts, but thankfully it is well made, as it should be for this price point. Whatever the case there are no gaps between the handle and the body on the unit I received as some reported. The container is beautiful brushed stainless with laser etched graduation marks inside. It cleans up easy, is dishwasher safe, and our family has peace of mind knowing we are not getting microplastics in our smoothies from the intense blending. We find it blends as well, if not better than the stock polycarbonate container, although it is a bit smaller (48 oz vs 64 oz for the stock). Definitely recommended!

Perfect Upgrade for our Vitamix
The media could not be loaded. We purchased this stainless steel blender container as a replacement for our old one that cracked, and it has been a game-changer! It fits perfectly on our 5200 series base, and the quality is far superior to the original. My husband is obsessed with it—he makes smoothies every single day, while I use it weekly to make nut milk. The size is slightly smaller than the original container, but we haven’t found that to be an issue. In fact, it feels sturdier and more efficient. One of the best features is the locking lid. I love being able to blend and walk away without worrying about spills. Cleaning is also a breeze; just add soap and water, blend for a few seconds, and it’s spotless.Highly recommend this upgrade for anyone looking for durability, functionality, and ease of use!

Very good blender accessory to have
Love this stainless steel accessory since I can blend anything hot in it. I was always concerned to blend hot items in the plastic container. I have seen that sometimes plastic containers change color or have spots due to the hot liquids. This doesn’t happen with the stainless steel container. Also it does not leave a metal taste in the blended food.

Heavy and durable
Love this. Pricey but well worth it. Stainless steel seems very good quality . Definitely better than the plastic one.

Overpriced, but a must if you want to avoid plastic
This Vitamix 48oz Stainless Steel Container is a beast. It's heavy and built like a tank. No plastic to speak of except the lid. It's the perfect size for single or double servings of smoothie, and it blends like a dream. Cleanup is a breeze, too.The only downside is the noise. It's a fair bit louder than the plastic container, but it's worth it for the durability. That said, I'm also a bit concerned about the markings fading over time as mentioned in several other reviews. Vitamix really should have stamped or engraved them.I'm also a bit concerned about the quality control, my container squeaked a little when new. It stopped after a few uses, but I noticed some white grease coming out of the bottom gear. Not a big deal, but it makes me wonder about its long-term durability. Unlike a few other reviews however, my handle is attached perfectly, and there are no sharp edges.Overall however, very pleased with this purchase, and I'll update if anything goes wrong.
