I was born in Lancashire and now live in the USA. I order these every Christmas to have a taste of home. They are wonderful and even better if you warm them slightly in the microwave. They have a rich filling and light pastry. Good for breakfast, or a dessert or a snack.

My 83 year old mother was telling me a story about how, when she was a young girl, she would help her neighbors shovel off their front steps to earn money to walk to the local bakery ro buy Eccles Cakes. I had never heard of them, but I thought, "heck, let's see if I can find them on Amazon." I found these and bought them as a surprise for her on a snowy morning. She said they tasted just like she remembered. These really made her day. Thank you.

Really liked these but they’re very small. Lousy value for money, won’t be buying them again

The package arrived in a bag rather than a box, so the cakes were a crumbly mess. But they did taste very good with my yorkshire tea.

Never had anything like these. Was heartbroken when I had the last one. Buttery and filled with fruity goodness.

These are horrible! They arrived somewhat squished in a brown envelope but I was looking forward to tasting one anyway. It crumbled when I took it out of the package and tasted very dry. You can't even taste the fruit in the middle and you need a glass of milk or water nearby to wash down the "cake". Disappointed.

Picture misleading vs. what you receive.....Eccles Cakes are 50 cent size and receive only 4 for the price.

Fresh, delicious. I could barely stand to share them. lol Filled full! Delicate bites of fruit, crumbly, buttery! Wish there were more per package.
