Pleasantly Surprised
This is an exceptional dehumidifier. It's been run hard for the three weeks that I've owned it. And it's worked terrifically. I was pleasantly surprised because the reviews indicated a lot of negative comments. In fact, one reviewer indicated that CR rated it at a very low 35 on its performance scale. These points notwithstanding, I still decided to go ahead and buy it because of my positive prior experience with another Amazon Basics product (a Microcut Shredder). I'm glad that I bought it.It's performed better than my old Home Labs dehumidifier, which was very highly rated by CR a few years ago. I use it in my combined Laundry and Utility Room which is adjacent to a crawl space, so there's lots of humidity in these areas. The dew point has hovered in the 70s or tropical humidity since early July so it's been tested hard. It has passed with flying colors. The Control Panel is straightforward and intuitive. I run it on Continuous Fan so it only stops for the water tank to be emptied. The Humidistat is very accurate and maintains a comfortable setting. The Filter Alert Light is accurate and reliable. The Water Tank is more than adequate. The Wheels on it make it easy to move to other areas.I definitely would buy this dehumidifier again and I highly recommend it to prospective buyers. The only caveat at this point is whether it will continue to perform well in the long run. [As such, I will update this review at a future date.]

Worth the investment!
This unit has been great so far! We bought this as a replacement for an older B&D unit that failed after several years of continuous use. The bucket filled up within a few hours and has worked great with the automatic pump. It is worth investing a little more into one with the pump if you plan to use it in a damp basement. We have it pump directly into our washing machine drain pipe so that we don't have to worry about emptying the bucket. The unit is also much, much quieter than our older unit. We'll see how long the unit lasts, but we got the 4-year protection plan just in case we have issues. To be honest, I've never had the best luck with longevity with dehumidifiers so that warranty was a no-brainer. Definitely recommend the unit with the pump PLUS the protection plan.

Stopped working after 6 months
I bought this to dehumidify my 1600 square foot home. It is rated for 4000 square foot. At first it worked great, though a bit noisy. Also it blows hot air while it is working. When it stopped dehumidifying, it blew cold air. It still turns on, just doesn't dehumidify. The pump worked great. I was very happy with that feature. I had to really read over the manual to understand the ways it can operate and the icons on the buttons. It's pretty heavy but luckily it has wheels to roll it around. The water collection tank and filter is pretty easy to clean. When it stopped working and I had to contact Amazon for return. This process has been a nightmare. First they wanted me to return it for a fraction of the cost. They said they would have UPS pick it up even though I didn't have the box anymore. But when I read the instructions they sent, I was supposed to box it. So I tried the chat for help. That wasn't helpful. So I requested a call. At first the rep wanted me to purchase it again then return the defective one. Item is no longer available. In the end, she forwarded my warranty request to another department to determine if it has a warranty. However online, it is documented that all Amazon Basics have a 1 year limited warranty, unless it is an item that is consumable, like food or printer ink. I will NEVER EVER buy Amazon Basics again.

Serious Drying Power in a No-Nonsene Package
My parents’ basement was practically tropical: high humidity, efflorescence, and early mold. Buckets of moisture absorber didn’t cut it. Enter this Amazon Basics dehumidifier. It dropped the humidity from the high 70s to the mid-40s in a few days and has kept it there. The walls look drier, the air smells cleaner, and even the efflorescence has backed off. It’s heavy, and the cord could be longer, but it’s powerful, quiet, and just works. If you need serious drying power without spending a fortune, this one delivers.

Fabulous product
I have been trying models from Hisense and they were very expensive 300$ plus. I decided to try the Amazon product only because of the name brand. I was shocked when I found it here. This device works just as well as a 330$ Hisense and is way quieter. It also do snt run constantly like the Hisense did. I am so happy with my purchase and decided to write my first review ever!

Collects So Much Moisture
Searched around and found this one. Glad I did. It’s very quiet and is very plain. Kinda blends in. The size of the bucket is easy to carry to empty. It comes with a kit to set up to go to a drain if you want to. Amazing how much moisture it takes out of the air. Mine is in my basement.

Hidden secrets about dehumidifier
The unit pulls lots of water out of the air. I have been pulling over a gallon a day for many days now. However, I could not figure out how to get the drain to work. I had hooked up a washer hose to the hose connector and not much came out. I got looking and figured out that water only goes through the drain if there is at least half the bottom of the hose circle is open. The hose I chose covered almost to half way and did not allow the water to drain through. So I went to home depot and bought the parts to make a drain kit(pictured). My home depot was out of many of the parts, but I had a few extra from the sprinkler system. Now that the hose circle can drain into the hose contraption I built, it drains fine. I did have to use a brass converter to go from hose threads to pipe threads. Do no try to screw a pipe into the hose connector on the back without converting or you will strip the threads. The other issue was that the pump did not start pumping until the water tank was mostly full. The third issue is that the led lights for options on the panel are quite dim. Therefore you can not find this info in the manual. It is not complete and many people have this problem. I hope that helps solve the issue for you.
