4 position plus slow off function
Wish they hadn't discontinued this item.The first one I have worked with 2 lamps, but when we got new lamps, it no longer would, will only work with one lamp at a time.This one finally came available in my wish list, so now I have one for each lamp.

I gave it a second try
The 1st one I bought did not work.I got in touch with the company & they sent me a new one immediately.The new one works great.I like these because in addition to having 4 touch brightness settings from low to bright, the 5th touch dims the light slowly, which I like.

I have used these dimmers for many years and of course they wear out so I have to replace them every so often, I bought spares this time as they are hard to locate.

Touch Lamp Control
This item was poorly described by the vendor and I can not use it at all. I needed a dimmer that would work with lights in a display cabinet. However it will work only on metal lamps. This limitation was not in the description. Also it took so long to ship that I forgot I had even ordered it when it finally arrived in the mail. I can't use it for anything so I guess it will be donated to Good Will.

Nice upgrade from my previous touch dimmer.
I originally purchased the Westek 6004B 200W 3-Level Touch Lamp Plug-In Dimmer which failed after two weeks.After receiving a refund I went and purchased the Xodus Innovations AR145D Carlon Thomas and Betts 4 Level Touch Lamp Dimmer Plug and have not experienced any issues with it. Plus, it has four level dimming and the outlet is off to the side (which allows furniture to be moved closer to the wall). Works for me!

Easy access in the dark, no need to feel for switch, just touch any medal on lamp or shade...let there be light.Just touch and light is on. touch to level desired and touch to cut off and it does a four step down of lighting, giving you a chance to make it out the room or into bed before lights out...a must have......

Lamp Control
I had 2 of these for a number of years, which were purchased from Menards. The lamp connected to one of these is used constantly. Seems the bulb/unit/whatever blew out and unit would not work any longer. Replaced with the above purchase. This NEW unit is very tempermental. It did NOT like the first lamp I tried it on - wasn't reacting - which is still working nicely with the old one from Menards. Moved it to the 'constantly' used brass lamp and managed to get it to function. 'Sensitivity' switch had to be on HI. Also by dampening my finger/s, it would react better. I'm not sure what the manufacturer changed, but something is different from 8 years ago!
