Makes tank super clear
I bought this and unfortunately the one I was sent had a hole in the bag and the tiny white beads were all over my tank. I contacted them and I was sent another one. Once I got everything cleaned up and had the new one installed it worked great. It quickly made my tank crystal clear.

Small Mesh size does not hold Purigen
I tried the small mesh size but it does not hold Purigen. Very disappointed since I purchased twelve of these for Purigen for my 750 gallon aquarium. I guess I'll need to go back to Seachem's "The Bag".

I love the zippers - much better than drawstrings.
Watch out for the sizes. Small, medium and large refer to the size of the holes in the mesh, not the size of the bag.

Not compatible with Seachem Hypersorb and Seachem Purigen
Looking on their website, this product is reported as being compatible with all Seachem filter media. However, when I used this this with Seachem Hypersorb and Seachem Purigen, the media spilled out of the bag the moment I submerged it in a bath of RO/DI water.I am glad I tested it before inserting them into my canister filter, or I would have had a hard time cleaning out all the tiny particles! Not sure about other filter media, however I would not recommend using this product with either Seachem Hypersorb or Seachem Purigen. I went back to using 'The Bag' and that worked well.Update: I informed Seachem of the issue I had with their product and they promptly reached out to me and explained that there was a issue with a batch of their Seachem Purigen media which led to the media drying up and cracking, however this has been resolved.
