This sucks (or was it blows?) in the vertical direction
but to vent air from the front or rear of a rack, NO.Strictly no frills, with an on-off button. Unit can be either on, or not.Due to external screws holding both fans to the metal 1U tray not being countersunk, even if the fans correctly lines up with the grill of the equipment below, 1U of space must be left between the equipment and fan unit.
