K&S 3408 Metal Cut-Offs, Assortment of Brass, Copper, Aluminum, & Stainless Steel, Made in The USA

I am a beginning jewelry maker working from my small studio apartment. I bought this product because I sometimes need to make hinges or tube rivets. This is the perfect assortment for my designs. I am satisfied with this item and will try out their smaller tube assortment. The package arrived quickly and undamaged. Highly recommend.

My assortment was quite the bargain. I got a bunch of short pieces of solid brass rod, from .030 to 3/16, a lot of brass tube and short heavy wall brass tube, some aluminum tubing,and short pieces of brass and aluminum square tube. Got a piece of what looks to be soft aluminum sheet. But the big surprise was what I thought was a 12" piece of brass tube. It was eight pieces of telescoped brass tube from 1/16 to 9/32! That was worth more than what I paid for the assortment! Super deal if you build models, or whatever you would need stuff like this for.

My primary motivation when buying this package was to gather some random materials for knife handle pins. Each pack is different, and I hope this gives you an idea of what you might receive. Most of my package was brass tube, with aluminum tube second, and small stainless steel rod third. In addition there was a random assortment of short Bacolod brass round stock, a few square tubes, very little copper tube, and then three longer (11”) pieces: thin brass flat, 2.5mm stainless round, and an oddly shaped length of brass. The majority of the pieces are too thin or short to use on their own, so I might use them for bead liners, or other clever ideas. An interesting idea for anyone who might want to make mosaic pins. I do wish there was some copper or aluminum rod. Maybe next time.

Fast review and easy is this is a great value for the money. If your a hobbyist like me that is working with tubing and need an assortment this will be a great item to buy. I am in a real rush but wanted to put this out. Intend to follow up when I get a chance. I purchased the small version first which isn't bad if you want an assortment of small tubing and buying this after that will really impress you I promise. I'm a K & S fan now for sure!

I had a 5/8 and 7/16 tube that took uo the majority of the room in my pack. Expect a small percent of smashed/crushed parts. I had 4 in my pack.If you was shorted pieces, I would suggest the sideways pack. It had a much better selection, beware though when you open the amazon package, my pack was already open and went everywhere.

I work in fairly small scales for my hobbies. So I thought cut offs would be a good way to go. There is a very nice assortment of parts. Nearly all of the pack I received is brass tubes, but there is a good assortment of aluminum tubes and a few copper tubes as well.

You can't go wrong buying this package of metal cut-off pieces. Just looking at the unopened package I see a wide variety of short tubes with varying diameters, some very narrow rods and tubes of long lengths and some small sheet metal pieces. This is something that will more than likely provide a small piece of metal for the odd repair or replacement that you may need in the future. To those who don't believe this is worth more than the cost of the assortment, try buying just one piece of metal from a big box store in their hobby parts drawer. You'll pay about 1/2 the price of this assortment. The intelligent person will pay the full amount for this assortment and get metal pieces galore.

Good variety of small round and square cutoffs, both solid and hollow. A lot of brass, which is what we hoped for, but also plenty of aluminum and stainless. Nice package for the money.
