Excellent reel for deep sea fishing
Spooled with 40 lb braid line, spool hold 420 meters, plenty of line for deep sea fishing or for trolling.- Went out twice to fish off shore:- First for quid at depth 50-150 ft with 8-16 oz weight, the reel can handle heavy lead weights without any issue.- Second trip out was rock fish fishing at the dept of 300 ft or more. Haul up a lot of fish without any issue.Overall, reel performed without out any issue.

this reel is amazing
So first time use this reel was under some heavy firing power...I used 60 lbs braid line and had no problems with a 4 foot bulk drum to 6 foot sharkAnd for some strange phenomena I do catch more fish on this reel then I do with other gear with same bait. Maybe I better buy another one :) And the counter is a big help you can call out the distance to your netter

Good Reel )verall
I've reeled a lot of fish and a lot of heavy gear in with this reel. Seems solid enough, but the line counter seems a little sloppy and a bit in consistent with colored line count... Could be either that are not accurate. Will update later when I know more.

ReKon trolling reel gets it done off Florida coast.
I trolled with this reel in the Keys and had good success reeling in blackfin tuna, mangrove snapper, mutton snapper and yellowtail snapper. Even got a 30+ inch barracuda. It performed very well and reeled smoothly on all fish. I liked having the line counter so I could set my line out to specific distances depending on what lure I had tied on. I'm very happy with the his reel and for the price, it's hard to beat! I'll continue to use this in my offshore aresenal.

Awesome reel at an awesome price!
This thing is awesome! The 20 series is a big reel, but not too big... and I really like the power handle, which isn't available on the smaller version. The drag feels super smooth and the clicker has a good sound to it. I've got a little over 1000 ft of 50 lb. (.040 dia) braid on it and there is not too much room for any more line. Really can't ask for more in a line counter reel... Especially at this price.

Line counters are junk.
Upon opening the packages I was a bit underwhelmed in perceived quality based on reviews and things I had heard from a charter captain in Florida that swears by these reels. I spooled all 3 up and brought them salmon fishing on lake Superior. 1st use out of the box and the line counters on 2 of the 3 reels malfunctioned and would not count when spooling line out. I expected a Chinese knock-off of the Okuma Coldwater which is what I was told they performed like or at a minimum a Convector knockoff. It was lighter and felt cheaper than both. Now the positives, it got 3 stars because they are inexpensive and handled reeling in a medium sized king salmon and a steelhead similar to the above mentioned reels. We'll see how they hold up over time. For the money if you don't need the line counter feature they might be worth the investment, for the type of trolling I do I need the feature and will likely dissect these reels to see if I can get the counters to work properly.

Poor Drag and overall poor quality of build.
I really like this real and features for the money. I was highly disappointed on my first trip the handle fell apart. I lost the bolt that holds the ball on to the handle axle and only by chance was able to save the ball before it floated away. I went to Ace Hardware and found a plastic rivet that fits in real nice where the lost bolt lived before. I epoxied the ball back on with the black rivet from Ace that will not back out like the factory bolt did. It actually looks real nice but I hope there are no other parts that are going to fall off the reel on my second use. If any parts come off the reel it will be getting a free trip to Las Vegas where all of Amazon returns go for my neck of the woods.Well follow up I am too late to return this reel. It is pure junk. The handle fell apart like I described and now that I actually have caught a few fish on it I find the drag is terrible. It is very sticky and not smooth at all. It kind of jerks when fight is being applied. I am throwing this reel in the trash heap and getting a decent reel from Penn or Bass pro that has a real drag.

Great reel for the price. I’ve only had it a few weeks but I have fished it heavily since I got it. Seems to live up to its reviews so far. Not only sharp looking but performs well. More plastic parts than a Shimano Tekata, but not really in places that count. I’m assuming this cuts down costs and weight but doesn’t effect the overall product functionality.
