Good bot great
It arrived early and it came as advertised , 4 out of the 5 clips work well but one was not quite the best and the rounds dont really stay in place so I gave it 4 stars the price paid pretty much reflected what I got these things will work for the casual shooter but if you hunt or a bit rough with your guns I cat see these clip lasting more that 1 or 2 uses before deforming out of shape.....on the then hand absolutely no complaints on the pauch it's in great condition and works great.

Great surplus item, packaged with junk repro item.
I purchased for the surplus ammo pouches since the gun stores in my area that carry old stuff and surplus are generally smoking entirely too much crack. usually pricing something like this in the 25 dollar region. I was satisfied with the item, its genuine. Not much else to say about the pouch, it seems to be used/restocked surplus which I prefer over the never used stuff, did this see battle? who knows but i like the idea of the posibility that it did, thats just me. The stripper clips, go ahead and chuck em, I tried em out and they suck, I didnt expect anything else and theyre just a freebie. Im aware of how to use stripper clips and I own real ones, they are difficult to use and take practice, but these ones are just garbage. But the price is fair for the pouches.

Nice little peice of history
I give it 5 stars because you get exactly what you expect... this ammo pouch is a little piece of history and as a collector you accept that stuff they made 70 years ago is not the same as what we would expect from modern tactical gear... what you get looks just like the picture... all leather with brass post that secure the straps... kinda like antique molle...the bags are tapered ... smaller on the bottom... the strips have to be inserted with the bullets down so you are looking at the back of the stripper clips on top

get it
the clips don't quite work with my rifle (not the clips fault, the rifle was made in 42) but they hold five shots as advertised, and the pouch holds about 3 clips. i bring them to the range with me. the only possible complaint I could have is that the leather straps are difficult to close back down on the button - spike things. they are however quick to open, which is the important part

Watch a tutorial video first
There's a technique with using these stripper clips. If you don't want to accidentally cut your finger, watch a video on YouTube about how to properly stack your rounds in this thing. The ammo pouch itself is tough, can easily be slipped through a thick enough belt.

The leather feels in good condition and no visible rust anywhere on the metal
I bought it for the pouch; I don't care much for the stipper clips, they do not work very well at all. The leather feels in good condition and no visible rust anywhere on the metal.

Brass catches easy to break
One of the brass pointy bits the leather straps hook onto broke off on mine. The shaft was pretty poorly brazed onto a brass washer which was covered over by the bottom of the pouch liner. That however was itself riveted into place so I could not get at the washer to reattach it to the shaft of the pointy bit. It however seemed like a legit com block product and that's about the quality I expect there.
