Amazing
This is the best buckwheat. I am so grateful that this family farm exists! Highly recommended. Also -- I'm a really sensitive celiac and I don't get any cross-contamination symptoms.

If You Want to Make Breton Galettes …
… then you need this flour.Breton (Bretagne/Brittany France) crêpes are made with sarrasin - buckwheat flour. But the buckwheat flour sold ubiquitously in the US will NOT make real galettes. For one thing, the grind is WAY too coarse. The resulting crêpes will not hold together - you’ll get a bunch of crumbs, loosely connected if you’re lucky.THIS flour, however, is the real deal. It changed my crêpe game and now I can make perfect galettes with my de Buyer carbon steel pan or the Le Creuse pan for larger crêpes.

This tastes amazing in all of the recipes I have tried so ...
One of my kids has been gluten free for 9+ years and the rest of us are finally going GF for health reasons also. I bought a cookbook which calls for light buckwheat flour in many of the recipes. I searched and searched all of our local health food stores and I could not find it. I finally decided to check Amazon and came across this light buckwheat flour. I have been experimenting with recipes for the last 3 days, since this flour came. I have to say, OMG! This tastes amazing in all of the recipes I have tried so far. We have tried calzones, pizza and onion rings so far. The pizza crust is delicious. There is no grainy after taste like there can be with a lot of GF flours. It also made a crispy breading for the onion rings. This is a great flour if you are trying to eat gluten and grain free!

Great gluten free buckwheat flour
Gluten free buckwheat flour hard to come by because of cross contamination. I highly recommend this product - great flour, great family owned company - made in America. The only other comment would be to be careful when using - the nutrient rich flour turns a golden color that can stain counters and clothing when it gets wet. But certainly not a deterrent in my book to use this fabulous product - you just need to be aware this can happen.I'm really happy I've found a reliable source for a superior quality buckwheat flour that tastes great!

This flour for me has nothing in common with buckwheat flour
Very disappointed. This flour for me has nothing in common with buckwheat flour. There is no buckwheat taste or buckwheat smell. A very expensive product, I wanted to return it, but, unfortunately, it is impossible with this type of product. For lovers of buckwheat bread, I do not recommend buying this flour.

Great flour. Terrible packaging.
I've been using this flour for years in my gluten free flour mix that I use for all different kind of things. I really like it for what I use it for. ( I don't bake much, mind you, so I don't know about that. But it's been great in a few things I used it in. ) My non gf hubby doesn't even notice any difference. My only complaint is the packaging. It could be much better as this one is... pretty bad! So bad! Always keeping my fingers crossed, then add some prayers to the mix, too, hoping it will arrive in perfect condition and not torn open, ruptured, ripped up and all over the box/shipping bag! Please change it!

Really delicious
My kid was diagnosed with celiac in January and I’ve been experimenting with a variety of cookbooks and recipes. One cookbook often calls specifically for “light buckwheat flour” which I had a hard time sourcing, even in NYC, so I ordered this. So glad I did! I have made pastry (!), crepes, and tonight we made the pizza recipe on the side of the bag and we’ve declared it our favorite since going gluten free. Expensive, but amazing. Highly recommend.

It is OK
I have been using a more brown buckwheat and this is light/white. I am not a fan. I don't think it is a bad product. We like the taste of the darker buckwheat.
