Works for me
Feedback: I have multiple chemical sensitivity, and I have not been able to use *any* dishwasher detergent natural or chemical, have tried for a decade and a half, also homemade has either not cleaned or I'm sensitive. W/ MCS, if I want to balance having a dishwasher and get dishes clean, this is awesome, clean dishes, happy health. We're all different, so *first test it out, see how you do 'near' the product (down at stomach level, it's concentrated, so don't get near eyes), then (I don't remember how I did it, but I know it was a slooow process, use your own discretion, consult a group o/l and see how they would do it, I think my relative had had an idea this last time) wash it in there on it's own, then a few dishes that aren't yours or some forks you don't care about, it wasn't until after using 2 packs, I was using it consistently and found no problems. Initially, I didn't like drying the dishes in there, b/c I was afraid it would 'bake it in', I had to start using the drying selection, and I haven't seen a problem. I found out about this one when googling: 'MCS safe dishwasher detergent', I found a review on the Citrasolv site that this worked. I know I can't go near their citrus cleaning products other than this 'free & clear', however, I 'can' have a family member use them in the house w/ doors open to air, w/o much problem, knowing this, I thought, 'if they were so natural in their general cleaning product, then they'll be the same w/ the free and clear tablets', yes, I have issues w/ the cleaning product, but only b/c of a sensitivity to it being concentrated citrus, you can tell from the smell of it, it's natural. Also, I live in FL, where we have hard water, and there are no spots after using this as my detergent. Another MCSer on the reviews for this product on their site, said a particular 'rinse' they'd do well w/, I haven't been able to afford it, so I've not tried yet, I do believe the dishes would come out 'even' nicer w/ it.

Been using Homesolv pods for a few months, working fine
8/29/21 - I was using mainstream dishwasher pods, Cascade Platinum, which work great but the scent was always strong. A few months ago I was visiting someone's home and they showed me a Homesolv pod... it had NO ODOR. Fantastic, but would it work as well as the Cascade?? Well, I've been using these pods since then in a small portable washing machine and they work just fine. Occasionally I'll have some food residue but that may be more about my small machine and squishing my dishes together when loading it up. I think these are just fine and work extremely well, so they get a "highly recommended" from me.

Natural good quality
I love that this is toxic free and it does the best job I've found in a natural dish detergent. We have hard water and this does a great job glass comes out clean and very rarely is cloudy. Im pleased.

Meh
Having lived without a dishwasher for decades, I was astonished at the stink Cascade Platinum left on our dishes. After trying several "natural" products (none of which leave a chemical odor), I cannot give high marks to HomeSolv Free & Clear. Like Sun & Earth, which I also wanted to like, it often leaves a few dishes dirty. And we pre-rinse religiously!I've had no such problem with Method Smarty Dish (which doesn't get great grades from EWG) or my current favorite, Vaska Lemon Rosemary.Seems to me most dishwasher detergents are one step down from sand and lye. They BLAST and abrade the food away. I figure alternative products are not as good as hand washing, but are at least a good compromise. For context: we have a 9 year old Whirlpool Quiet Partner II. Our moderately hard water goes through a cheap two stage filter then a new Fleck Eliminator to get rid of sulfur and iron. We don't use a water softener. We DO use a rinse aid (LemiShine at the moment) and run a commercial cleaner through our machine when we think of it (every few months).

Eco-nice
Works great in my new Samsung dishwasher. Definitely be sure not to have heavy gunk on dishes, but it does what it needs to do and smells good.

The best dishwasher soap around
I first found this on sale at my local health food store. It cleans like no other. Tea stains I used to have to scrub out of cups by hand, after they went through the dishwasher, just disappeared! But my local store no longer carried it and I couldn't find it in any local groceries either (I live in a small town in central Maine). Finally, in desperation I tried Amazon and there it was! Because I am allergic to scents I must use the Free and Clear. But once you try it you will never go back to your old soap.
