The Periodic Table: A visual guide to the elements

Great reference guide
I bought this for my 7th grader, who loves chemistry. He is not a huge reader, but loves this book for its concise easy-to-understand text and pictures. In addition to pages dedicated to each element, there are interesting sections on interesting topics like radiation and basic chemical principles and properties. He told me it was one of his favorite Christmas gifts, which is huge, since he doesn't enjoy books in general.

Been Looking For A Book Like This
I've been interested in science all my life and am always looking for well-written books that give me an understanding of specific topics. Been looking for something on the periodic table and this hits the nail on the head. Clear descriptions of complex topics, diagrams and graphics to illustration concepts and relationships. All in a fairly compact and digestible format. Highly recommended.

Good Explanations, Small print
We gave this book to our grandson with his Plexiglass 3 dimensional Periodic Table with elements. He loves it. The book is well-made with glossy pages, but my main concern is that some of the print is too small and doesn’t have good contrast with the background page color. Use of a magnifying glass makes some of the text easier to read. The book could be made larger (8.5x 11) and then perhaps the print could be larger and darker.

This book is fun!
A beautiful looking book and very informative. It is quite a piece of art too but the science here is for real.Even people who are not well versed in science will find the book interesting.

Great reference material on the chemical elements
This is a comprehensive, complete and well organized "general" reference material on the chemical elements. I have looked through dozens of similar texts and I think that it is perhaps the best one out there. Some readers point out the book has a small print. It is true but the text is readable. Furthermore, in my view, the size of the print is justified. The book has so much information packed into its 224 pages that a larger print would have turned it into a massive (and a more expensive!) volume.I highly recommend it both to the school and college students as well as to all the people who study chemistry (or a related field) at home.
