lightweight and very comfortable headphones
I usually search, investigate and compare before making a purchase of a really necessary item. These work well for use in an area where ambient noise is not too loud such as machine noise. For noise in an office workplace they are perfect.I tried them to go cycling, but even with the volume at maximum the noise of the traffic and the street makes the sound of the headphones null, the sound of the wind in the headphones is felt a lot. Practically discarded for cycling unless you are going through an area without traffic. But for work, which is precisely what I need them for, they are perfect, the sound quality is good, it does not allow you to turn the volume to the maximum because the sound is distorted, making a kind of ssss. But sound is clear and nice at about 80% of its capacity.I am satisfied with the headphones, the controls are very easy and the use is very intuitive, the buttons are well located, the location of the buttons is quickly learned. Very light and comfortable to wear for hours, notice that you are wearing them, the construction materials are very good, as well as their design. I definitely recommend them.

Cool bonephones for the active sportsman!
The appearance on opening the package immediately inspires confidence that one Is getting a quality item. The smart box packaging is stylish and up-market, much along the lines of Apple equipment. But hey, why not have a solid lid to the box to complete the smart presentation and avoid putting another piece of plastic into the world? The headphone itself is also a very cool looking piece of kit with a quality feel about it, with no loose wires to wear out with constant bending, something that earlier Tayogo equipment suffered from. The instruction manual is very small but perfectly adequate, with the English language version running to only 6 pages of clear instructions in good English. When wearing the headphone, it is lightweight and comfortable, with the bone conduction pads sitting easily just in front of the ears. The power and volume controls are very small and slightly fiddly to use but since there are only three buttons, can be identified by touch. The play/pause/call receive control is on the left earpiece and is much larger and really very convenient to touch on and off. Nice design Tayogo!I have previously owned a Tayogo underwater mp3 player that delivers the sound via bone conduction. That relied on the sound conductivity of water to work and I was sceptical that the S2 would perform as well in air, without water to conduct the sound. However, my doubts were groundless as the S2 delivers decent quality sound at very acceptable volume levels. The system also gives voice prompts for ‘Power On’ and ‘Power Off’ and also tells you when the Bluetooth is connected and to which device. That is a helpful feature. Now to the applications for the use of the S2. The headphone is very stable on the head so could be used successfully when walking, running, fishing or other fairly solitary outdoor sports. It is claimed to be sweatproof but not waterproof, so water sports are clearly not applicable. It could be used in the gym successfully but, and this is a big ‘but’, when playing at even moderate volume levels, there is a lot of sound spill over into the outside world. This is far more noticeable than with in-ear headphones. I think that fellow gym users would get justifiably quite irritated with an S2 user on the next piece of equipment.I am a regular leisure cyclist but have always frowned on bike riders who wear earphones whilst riding. The great safety advantage that a cyclist has over vehicle drivers is that one can hear other traffic approaching from all directions. Wearing earphones effectively denies one of this advantage. However, I thought, with bone conduction, the ears are not blocked, and one should be able to hear traffic as normal, so I took my new S2 for a bike ride. It was not a success as, to compete with the natural wind noise when cycling at say, 15-20mph, one has to set the volume level towards its maximum. Therefore, although one’s ears are open to receive traffic sounds, the music volume effectively masks traffic noises and loses the safety advantage that a cyclist should enjoy. Moreover, at high volume settings, the bone conduction pads can be felt vibrating against one’s temples, which I found slightly ticklish and distracting. I won’t be taking the S2 out on the road again. Those interested in the Tayogo S2 should be aware that this is simply a set of ‘bonephones’ and not an mp3 player. No data is stored in the S2 but it will play from any Bluetooth capable device. In sum, the Tayogo S2 is a smart, well-designed accessory that certainly has its place in several sports environments. The build standard feels good and so I hope it should have a decent operating lifespan. It produces good sound quality and volume levels. It is not, however, suitable for use with other people around who might not appreciate your choice of music.

Quality phones
Owned a wired set of bone conduction phones for a few years now, Aftershox bought by my daughter for my bike rides and all round use, I've been able to wear them at work and they've been ideal for health and safety reasons. So I looked into the Tayogo S2 Bluetooth set, I have not been disappointed with them for sound quality and ease of use (a week in) the buttons may be a bit small for gloved hands but that's a minor gripe compared to the plus points, connected quickly to all my Bluetooth gadgets, mp3, phone and tablet, literally in seconds. The battery life is good easily reaching the six hour claim. They are very light and comfortable and the outer noise is less than my Shox, my wife can barely hear them when on a decent amount of volume, I've seen reviews stating they're not bone conductors, I can state they definitely are and are well worth the money, it's early days yet but I'm very happy with these.....🙂

Good until I got caught in the rain
It took a little while to get used to these compared to traditional headphones. I bought them as an alternative to ear buds and overheads, due to a reoccuring ear infection. I have to say in this regard they worked perfectly as they obviously don't irrate the ear canel nor cause the ear to sweat. The battery life is good enough to get a few runs or a longish cycle, but the sound is much quieter than with traditional headphones, due to the design. In most instances the volume was fine, the only issue I had was when cycling, particularly when listening to podcasts as when cars past it was tough to make out the voices/conversations even at max volume. For normal music, it wasn't so much of an issue and when away from the road or in the gym, perfectly loud enough.UPDATE:I have been using fairly regularly for a while now, but went for a run yesterday it started to rain quite a lot. The headphones continued to work for the duration of the run, but when I went to use them today they appear to be dead, even after charging. I may consider getting another pair in the future if these aren't covered under warranty, but I would advise avoiding contact with the rain where possible. Though this obviously isn't always possible given it's intended use for running...
