I got the VIVO steel reinforcement bracket mount to support my 4-screen monitor stand, and I couldn’t be happier with how well it works. I was a little concerned at first because I’m using a glass desk, but this bracket completely solved that worry. It distributes the weight perfectly and gives the entire setup a rock-solid feel—no flexing, no shifting, no issues at all.Installation was straightforward, and once it was in place, I felt totally confident mounting all four monitors. This was a life saver I have an executive desk and did not want to damage it. It also has limited space where the bottom side of the clamp goes before there is some molding and the bottom plate came in so handy. The top plate protects the surface of the desk and gives an overall better grip for the clamp, which is important if you have a heavy stand, larger monitors or multiple monitors.

Currently holding up well on on a glass surface. I have a mic arm currently on it. The surface area is wide and deep so I think it should be fine for nearly any clamp you may have. It came with foam for the large piece, but the small piece for underneath the shelf had no such foam or non slip. The package was intact when I received it so I may or may not have been unlucky to not have it. But my shelf seems to be doing fine without the small piece right now so I will just get something for it in the future if I need to.

Bought this for My desk and my wifes. Both of our desks are 3/4inch melamine/ particle board. The mount I bought from vivo is a dual vertical for my 40'' widescreen 20lbs with a 32in 17lbs' mounted. Even with the additional supporting plate it does wobble a bit if I bump the desk but I think that is mostly from the desk being on carpet and the whole desk wobbles a little bit because of it. Over all 10/10 would recommend if you are concerned about the weight of your monitors on your desk in a small area with OEM clamp.

I bought this reinforcement bracket specifically to utilize with my IKEA Lagkapten tabletop, as I read some wild stories about clamp style monitor mounts punching a hole through the IKEA tabletops, given their build components. Allow me to say that this reinforcement bracket is 100% the PERFECT thing you'll need in order to install a dual monitor mount on IKEA tabletops. It spreads the load evenly, and even though some folks say the bottom metal piece is small, I found it to be more than adequately sized.
