Very good phone
I changed to this phone from a S7, and I use Total Wireless for my provider. I had to turn off the enhanced calling features in order to get the phone service to work and manually input the APN settings for the mobile data. It connects to my Gear S3 and runs every app that I try to use with a little lag on a couple games, but I personally am not concerned about the games. The battery life and non lagging from switching apps is more what I was looking for, and this seems to being a really good job at that. The only issues I have is that I had to turn off phone calls on the blue tooth connection to my Gear S3 in order for phone calls to work properly on my car. I even intentionally threw it across the room to give it a test. Overall I am really happy with it and added a 128 gig SD card which acts as part of the internal storage (a choice when formatting it). If it holds up for a year then Blackview will gain a permanent customer.

Unreliable and sub-standard device
Needed to end my frustration with this faulty phone and I sent it back.It kept resetting by itself and often showed that Google play service has stopped. The most recent error, after few hours of testing it, "the android com stopped working".The screen lock pattern worked only once when I set it up, then when I opened the compass app, right after the compass calibration, the phone restarted by itself and I could not use the screen pattern unlock feature anymore, I had to unlock it through my Google account, lucky me that I set that one up. Now I cannot secure the phone using that feature. At one point the phone screen showed a boot up white and red text suggesting that the operating system could not be loaded due to an error and there was an option to restart and one to wipe out the data, which I did as I thought that there was a glitch in the software, maybe after passing through the x-ray scanner at the customs. That didn't solve the random boot problem. The manual has only one page of useful information but it doesn't describe this phone features and functionality. You will have to install certain apps, of course by trial and error, in order to use most of this phone capabilities. There is a radio app that is useless as it is waiting for the headphone 3.5mm jack to be plugged in as an antenna, as depicted on the app welcome screen, but there is no such jack on this phone, unless they have the FM radio hardware that uses the charging/data connector port; that should be specified in the manual. later I learned that the headphones connect to the charging port and it helps receiving two FM stations in Vancouver, where we have at least thirty stations; the two stations came in very weak, maybe the FM chip has no RF filters at all.The camera is an OK camera, it has good rezolution but since the lens aperture is small, the low light pictures are not good, but are better than my old Samsung Note4 phones.Because I valuate my personal time, I didn't want to feel that I wasted several hours trying out this phone that was not properly tested at the factory (people are cutting corners out there), and for that reason I installed a phone memory testing app, and that one showed Memory write failure every time it performed that test, but everything else was good. Then I installed a well known testing app, AnTuTu benchmark app, and that one showed that this phone reached the score of over 130.000 which is below the current phones performance, phones that I could buy for under 300dollars. The test got this phone warm, I assume that the CPU has a decent size heatsink to take the 60celsius degree heat. The AnTuTu 3d test showed lagging on most games it tested; I would never play a game that plays at 3-5frames per second like this phone does. Probably it works better on less intensive games. The frame is thin but solid and I like the feel of a solid brick that would last on a construction site or a mine and similar workplaces, but I would not try to drop this phone to test its durability as it is made out of aluminum and due to the weight it would get frame distortion that could lead to screen damage. Cannot say if this is a real waterproof phone and if the factory techs are testing each phone individually, but a quick rinse didn't kill it. I might pressure test it tomorrow, just air pressure test like we do on Motorola and other brands outdoors wireless devices. Also the cameras lens could easily get scratched as it sticks out above the phone rear surface.I like the possibility to attach a small lanyard to this phone, a feature that would be very useful to many adventurous people or even outdoors workers.Very unhappy to have my money invested in an untested product.

Okay phone. It has pros and cons.
Pros- great battery, fast processor, good camera.Cons- I am with AT&T and this phone bounces for 3G to 4G in my house. My Samsung did not do that. Very weak antenna. Also, I can't get it to save my voicemail number. Every time I change it it goes back to *86. The software needs to be updated with a save button. And there is no voicemail symbol at the top of the display.I used the phone in the pool. And the speaker got weak for a day. Like it needed to dry out.Adding post 4/3/2020. I have had this phone for about a year. I was at go cart track and my phone fell out on the track. It got ran over 4 times and nothing happened to it.Cons- The phone will not save my number to call voice mail. Every time I change it goes back to *87.

Good phone while it lasted.
There is no warranty at all. Neither the seller nor the manufacturer will stand behind it. My screen failed in two months. After weeks of back and forth with both the manufacturer and the seller, the manufacturer suggested I buy a new display from them and the seller said that maybe I just had turned the display way down, so nothing they could do.Which is sad, because I loved the feel and operation of the phone.

Do Not Buy.........
****WARNING**** Do Not Buy this phone unless you like having an unstable cell phone. Damn!! I really wanted to like it....the battery is the best, last all day and then some. Bluetooth issues was enough for me to return it.

Battery is eternal, screen is large, phone is heavy
Although this phone is not formally supported with Verizon, I can confirm 4G LTE DOES work on Verizon, AT&T, Straight Talk! Just tweak your APN settings.Phone is really nice to hold, a bit large perhaps. not heavier than my older CAT S60 but slightly heavier than a Samsung S8. Professional looking, heavy duty, and has all the bells and whistles. The fingerprint thing is different since everyone is used to Samsung backside print reads, but the side ain't so bad if you add all your prints there.

Great Phone for the Money!
So full confession, the first phone I got had bubbles in the screen in between the digitizer and the LCD. I returned it to amazon for a refund and got another one because I did like how it looked felt and preformed. The entire process of ordering the first one, receiving it, returning it, ordering a second one, and having it in hand all took less then 5 days so you really cant complain. As for the phone itself its freaking awesome. The screen is a stunning OLED screen, it feels plenty snappy for everything I do. The battery last for over 2 days, and the signal is good. It has a almost completely stock android experience and is easy to set up and customize. The only down sides I can find so far is it has a rather weak vibration motor. It has a weird custom long USB-C port although it does have wireless charging, and comes with a cable as well as a adapter for Micro USB to their weird long USB-C. And last but not least its only got android 8.1 with updates to 9.0 not very likely. All in all the its a great phone for the money so far. If it craps out in a few weeks or months ill update my review.

Good solid phone, but needs taming.
I have used this phone for 6 months now, after owning an Iphone 4S for almost 10 years which suddenly died. First reaction was the size of it, it is pretty big, but i soon go used to it...when I pick up my old Iphone now it looks like a little toy.I am a boat builder, sailor, tree surgeon and professional industrial climber.. although it needs trousers with good size pockets, I have the confidence that when faced screen to my leg, it is practically indestructible. The BV9600 Pro is a fast, capable phone with excellent battery life and great screen, perfect for extended use while on the move...I would never have considered watching films on my old phone due to screen size and battery life, but with this you really can. It will hold 75% of charge after a full day of browsing of film watching. The only issues I had with it were it seeming to have a life of it's own at first, before I got used to it. For example just pulling it out of your pocket would activate NFC, the torch light, and switch off mobile data. You really need to lock it every time you put it down, select to have long pushes on side buttons for several functions that will not activate weird stuff without you wanting to. Even now when I take it away from my ear after a phone call the screen it is showing sometimes is nothing I tapped up, and settings have changed I have to go back and reset them...a bit weird, and I may have further taming to do. But I cannot complain at all, it is a huge improvement on my old phone, feels grown up, and after 6 months has been a joy to use, so 5 stars all round.

Great screen
Great battery life, it’s. Heavier than my previous phone but after a week I’m used to it, love the large screen. Very pleased with it and look forward to using the camera underwater..

Bought at the end of April 2019, we are now in December and phone stopped working. Seller doesn't want to know and says to contact Blackview, Blackview replied to first email and after that no replies. If you are after a rugged phone maybe stay away from blackview.

Also ab in die Tonne.
