PDP Afterglow Kral PS4 Wireless Headset

Been using these extensively for over a year.Pros--Decent battery life i can get a few days of solid gaming in before it needs to be charged and will work while it is being charged. It can be charged using usb port from plug or from PS4.-Sound is fantastic! but you will want to play around with the playstation settings to get the right chat to game audio ratio. Mic is good too. My party chat tells me most of the time i sound clear and room sounds arent as bad even when it sounds like a party is going on in my living room.-Looks cool and nice design.-Noise cancellation is soo good you can't even hear your own voice.Cons--Comfort: Not the best fitting headset. It gets a little tight on the head. Ive adjusted it over the year carefully not to break it but giving it a looser feel. playing 6 hours straight can be cumbersome but ive adapted. I have found that wearing a beanie or hoodie on my head under the headset makes it much more comfortable but thats why im giving it 4 stars. This would get 5 if it wasnt for the comfort part. Ive asked friends to see if its just me and they agreed as well. I paid a lot more then that what its listed for now and would say its a great deal.- Noise cancellation is soo good you cant even hear your own voice. This gets annoying sometimes for party chats when it feels like im screaming because i cant hear my own tone. Often times resulting in moving my ride earphone partially off of my ear. Again wearing a beanie/hoodie on my head gives a little bit of room for some sound to get through so i know when my wife is yelling at me. lolAgain despite its comfort issues i gave it 4 stars. It is a quality product and has worked great over the years. A lot of my teammates were using turtlebeach headsets that were more expensive and have already broken on them. This one has worked excellently for a good year and a half of rigorous gaming.Would i buy it again? probably not. But i also do not regret buying them as they did exactly what i wanted them to do.Troubleshooting- Most of the troubleshooting ive found when it comes to mic or sound issues is reconnecting the dongle or turning the device off then on. Most of the time i get sound issues if i turn on the headset before i log into my PS account. Turning the headset off then turning on again usually fixes it.

I've never been one to use headphones while playing video games, but with my current living situation, it's almost required. I ordered these headphones on a whim for use with my PS4, trying to avoid paying the super-premium prices for the name-brand items, and I do not regret it one bit. These headphones go louder, deeper, and wider than any other headphones I've tried. My current roommate bought the PlayStation Gold Wireless Headset, and I would choose the Afterglow headset 10 times out of 10. This is after a couple days of use, and I will update my review later to include more experience, but my first impression is that they are impressive at the very least. I read a couple reviews where people were having trouble retracting the boom mic due to it's flexible composition, but I have not had these same problems - it slides in and out like butter.The ease with which these connect to the PS4 is astounding - literally plug-n-play. Turning the power off and on is as easy as holding the button on the Left ear muff, and connecting back to the system is automatic and almost instantaneous. Deep bass mode is great for playing action games, though with the volume up, it can get a little distorted, but nothing that would affect my 5-Star rating.Comfort is no issue either. While the coverage of the ear muffs themselves is a little less, when compared to the PS Gold headset, it is no less comfortable. My head is rather large compared to most of my friends, and I only have to use a small portion of the possible adjustment range. Another feature that was noticed by a third party is how good the LED lights look - both the main headset and the boom mic LEDs. The changing of color on the mic's LED to denote a change from Pure Audio to Bass Boost eliminates confusion and reminds you which preset you have enabled.All things considered, a 5-star purchase no matter how I look at it. I got a top-notch product for cheaper than most 4-star products. I would HIGHLY recommend this to anyone in the market for a gaming headset, or headset in general. I will update my review after I've experienced a little more with the headphones as well as giving it a try on different devices. I hope you enjoy as much as I did.
