Rii 3 in 1 Mini i6 Bluetooth Keyboard + Touchpad + Remote Control (Black)

This is review is for the Bluetooth Combo + Backlight...So I am a gearhead of the first order, going back more years than I care to say. I'm pretty particular and expect my technology to bow down to me and do what I want/expect. That being said, I purchased this thinking it would be so useful, and downright COOL. Now that I have it, all I can say is:It is SOOO Useful and DOWNRIGHT COOL!This works exactly as I'd hoped for on a Windows 10, Acer Laptop for all functions and mouse/touchpad use. And I use the Blue Function Transport Keys (pause/play, back, forward, etc.) w/the DVD player application on the laptop, for video presentations to my Middle School church home group. They think it's cool as well (the most discerning tech group to impress) and it works flawlessly. The backlight makes it useable in semi-darkened rooms. The Bluetooth isn't effected by conflicting cordless phones or wireless routers.Have not used it for any other function/use (ie: haven't used the remote learning function, with televisions, media center setups, etc.) so I can't comment on the performance of those options.

There are many other products that do the same thing as this remote. Do yourself a favor and search for "air mouse." Tons of miniature mouse/keyboard combos that do the same thing and more, plus at waaayyy better prices. For me, this mouse did not work very well on Windows 10. Plus, the Bluetooth provides a connection that is shaky at best. While Rii does make some nifty gadgets, I would shop around and avoid this particular product.

thing is amazing. backlight, remembers my device always, dependable. touchpad is just the right size. Use it everyday now, didn't have to for some time but when you're in a pinch and you need a full keyboard with f keys media controls a D-pad delete key and ALL THAT with a backlight, it's there. also the caps lock light is like, insanely bright. also pleased to say i've use the remote function a lot but it is IR learning so you have to have a remote to teach it the codes, which is like, what if I don't have it? but we have some xiaomi phones with IR laying around so we can upload the codes this way in a pinch. really amazing little device. I drop it all the time constantly and it still has 3/4 screws in it. and it just snaps back together. I might get another

Pros:Seems well made, not ipod level but not ipod level priced either.TV remote side easy to setup, straight forward point and program from original remote.Bluetooth keyboard/touchpad also had easy setup.Backlit keyboard nice for living room / home theatre enviroment.Looks cool, conversation piece for your living room.Cons:Shut it off, leaving it on over night will result in a dead battery. Not suprising for a bluetooth device.Few buttons for a TV remote. While most remotes have too many IMHO, 2-3 more would be nice.Touchpad sensitivity and trackpad speed are less than desirable. Bluetooth keyboard / touchpad has no adjustability on my Mac.The battery life is the single biggest issue for me, the sluggishness of the touchpad would be a close second. Other than that, nice little gadget. Doesn't completely replace my BT keyboard / touchpad combo for the Mac as hoped, works in a pinch instead.

Great size, very functional(most features), good weight and build (lot of remotes creak when squeezed). First off I'm a tech professional, so listen when I say this is a great mini keyboard. Buttons are solid, but not meant for typing a 15page report. Well made overall , I expected much less quality. It has 99% of nessisary keys and short cuts. It has a backlight, not that you'll use it after the 2nd week. Has indicators for battery, button strikes, and bluetooth power. This does not come with a dongle/receiver.Very basic remote, but great for my purpose, I have a Sony flatscreen(1st Gen old) and a converter box and this learns 2 remotes or you can use the other slot for more functions of the same device. I looked at every combo keyboard remote I could find on the net, most not worth the time it took to read the description. After, as another review said, spotting the difference in how things are unintentionally mis-discribed or the items pictures don't match up with what the model #'s and sometimes even brands. So to be clear I'm reviewing the rii Bluetooth remote i6 withe the Grey band around the edges... BLUETOOTH! Even when researching other combo remotes, I was occasionally brought back here to read reviews that didn't match the item I clicked on, be careful. For the few small things, that for the price, and to toss 4 items off my table and into a drawer aren't too big a deal... The keys would be better served with some spaces between. The mouse pad could have been less deep compared to the keys(flush with the surface). The on off switch should be rock solid! Remote side could use just a few more buttons for convenience sake. Lastly and most importantly, there is noticeable lag when keyboard(only) comes out of low power /sleep mode. It's only a sec or two but it's there. For me it's gone after the initial couple seconds. Also want to note I paid about 26$, I saw this all over amazon for twice the price... That, it's not worth

Paired it easily with my Amazon Firestick. Even my Linux laptop. No complaints at all.

Super easy to set up clear and concise instructions and it works really well the buttons feel like those slide out keyboard phones. The remote side is not cluttered with buttons and they don't get in the way when using the other side. Good battery life
