Coavas - Metal Bed Frame - 4ft 6 inch Double Queen Size - Sturdy Bedstead Base Single

I'm only 1 month into using this, so I will update if things change. It's also worth noting I'm 5.1 tall and weigh 141 lb and am in a double bed, alone, so my review is based on these facts.I assembled it with a friend (I like putting DIY furniture together) and it took us roughly an hour. I found the instructions easy to follow. It's really important to note that it seems that once you push the slabs into place, they seem impossible to move again, so please make sure they're all positions correctly and can fit perfectly across the entire surface of the bed frame before pushing/clicking them into place (which I wasn't strong enough to do and my mate did for me).It feels study for me (presume I'll have to tighten the bolts every now and again), it's very pretty in its simplicity and I'm so pleased I went for this affordable frame as bed frames are ridiculously expensive! However, I can reach the end bar when stretching and I don't see it being a fit for someone very tall... having said that, it's of a normal/standard length and fits a double mattress perfectly. Depending on the depth of your mattress, the end bar may or may not be visible and it may or may not be sticking up for your feet to push against. I've had two mattress on it - a very thick one that meant I could stretch beyond the length of the bed and not touch the bar and a thin one which means my feet now reach the bar (does that make sense?)I worried about the mattress slipping on the metal bars but so far I've had no issues.I'm very happy with my purchase so far.

This bed was simple and easy to put together. The instructions made lots of sense and were very easy to follow. Strong and very sturdy if put together correctly. But a great price and a brilliant bed nice and comfortable. I did have one problem and that was attaching the middle legs. So for anyone else who may or may have struggled with that area.I found that if you use the Alan key to hold the screw tightly in place. Then use the wrench to screw the nut you'll have no trouble attaching the middle legs. You will need a strong arm to hold the Alan key to stop the screw moving but you should have no trouble. It's easy to do when you figure it out.

I was looking to replace an Argos bed with drawer and decided to try this. I'm really glad I did! I was fortunate enough to get it on a Lightning Deal, so it's even better value. I was surprised just how small the box was that it was delivered in, but all the parts were there and the instruction diagrams were easy to follow. As I was assembling it I was concerned to get the connections tight and it did seem as if some of the threads were stripping as I fastened them, but it went together tightly in the end. I added washers to several of the bolts as the holes seemed to be a little loose for the heads of the bolts. It's very sturdy and supports me very comfortably. I looked at the weight capacity before I bought it, as I weigh 130kg, but it supports me with no problem. My old bed used to creak and groan, but this is totally silent, even with my old mattress on, so it must have been my old bed-base complaining!At the normal price it's good, at the price I paid in the Lightning Deal it's an absolute bargain!! I highly recommend this bed base, especially for it's weight capacity. I'm extremely pleased with mine. I just knocked one star off the rating for the over-large holes and having to put washers on the bolts, but that could be me being over-cautious. For the money, I think it's unbeatable!

I was a bit skeptical at first buying this, but my teenage son had broken his divan base so decided to give this a go.My main concern from a metal frame, from previous experience, was that it would creak with every movement and drive me mad.Well, we assembled it together within an hour and now a few weeks later it is still solid and study and most importantly, silent. Not a single creak.So far so good. I'm very impressed.Oh and it looks nice and modern too 😊Edit....it lasted less than 4 months before the frame bent and buckled and concluded in being put out for the scrap man!!

When I first purchased this bed frame in Jan 2020, I was obsessed with it! I love the way it looks (I still do), its a great size, and is made of lovely material. However, the it broke within less than a year of purchase. Some of the slats have popped up and cannot be pushed back in, and one of the legs is bent so the whole frame rocks and squeaks whenever I turn over (I'm not particularly heavy or large)! Its a shame really because its a pretty frame and a great price, I just wish it had lasted longer! I pretty much wasted my £80. I think you're better off buying a more expensive and durable frame that will stand the test of time.
