LEGO City Explorers Jungle Exploration Site Building Kit 60161 (813 Pieces)

I just received this jungle-themed LEGO set from Amazon... all I can say thus far is, WOW.This set comes with so much that it's tough to know where to start: There's an airplane crash site, there's a temple adjacent the crash site, there's an amphibious tank-like vehicle, there's a large expedition truck, there's a helicopter, there's a kayak, there's a motorcycle, there's a crazy looking plant that will surely devour you, there's a red spider, an alligator, seven LEGO minifigs, and lastly, and perhaps most importantly, an amazing jaguar.Did I mention this set comes with a jaguar? The presence of this large feline is definitely what I'm most excited about as this is the first appearance of this type of large cat in a LEGO set.Pros:- There is a crashed airplane in the middle of the jungle... how cool is that.- A total of 9 characters (7 minifigs, 1 alligator, and 1 jaguar) make the level of playability in this set outstanding.- The expedition vehicle has a motorcycle attached to the back to maneuver tight spaces.- This is one of the few sets that offer the new kayak design... which is awesome by the way.- The jaguar in this set is one of three bigs cats in the jungle-themed LEGO sets (there's a black panther, set 60159, and a tiger, set 60162, as well)- There's a total of five vehicles in this set... how will you ever decide which one(s) to use?- There are quite a few unique and new pieces that come with this set which add a layer of exclusivity to the set.- Did I mention there's an awesome jaguar with this set?Cons:- The retail price for this set is a little high, however, when you look at all that comes with this set, it's really not a bad price. If you can find it for less than retail, then jump on it.- At this point, there really aren't any other negatives that I can think of.My son and I are big fans of the jungle-themed LEGO sets, and this is a worthy addition to the LEGO line-up. Though this isn't the biggest LEGO set as part of the jungle theme, set 60162 is, I honestly believe that this set is a bigger bang for your buck type purchase. I bought this for my son’s tenth birthday. He absolutely loves it! He got right to work on all of the wonderful creations in this kit. He will not let anyone touch them, take them apart, or put them away. This was absolutely worth the money. I’m extremely happy with my purchase and would highly recommend this.

I gave this Lego set to my grandson for his birthday, and he loved it. That is all the three boys ask for for birthdays and Christmas. This set did not disappoint! Lots of opportunity for creative play.

My son loved putting this together. It has some interesting pieces, and we have a few more of the Jungle Explorer sets to round this out. By itself, it's not much for the money, even for Legos. There are several guys and some cool vehicles. He hasn't played with it much, but he tends to like the building more than playing.

Lots to play with in this set. It occupies my 9 year old very well- he loves it! He also put it all together by himself.

This item was my son's big gift on Christmas. It arrived with all the bags opened, pieces, loose in the box, missing figures and pieces, no stickers, and unusable. This was quite expensive too. Very disappointing. It feels like a complete scam.

My son absolutely loves this set! The vehicles are super cool and the set is simply amazing my son can’t get enough!

The toy is great. My son really enjoyed putting it together and playing with it.The problem was that the box was completed crushed on delivery. Lucky no danage or missing pieces.
