XLC Alloy Stem Raiser, 28.6 x 117mm, Black

This stem riser worked perfectly for me. I got 3 1/2 inches of maximum lift on the handlebars which is just enough to reduce the strain on hands, neck and back. Although I am still not sitting straight up because my seat is set high to accomodate my height. Fortunately I had just enough slack in the brake cables to accommodate the lift in the handlebars. This riser won't work for you if you don't have enough slack in the brake cables. The quality of this product appears adequate. All the parts are metal. All the parts needed for the install were included with instructions. Correct amount of spacers needed are included. I did have to use one more 1/8 inch spacer that I had with my old stem. This was needed because you need the stem to be slightly above the riser in order for the stem cap to properly seat all components tightly to the fork tube without any looseness.

Well made, sturdy. Since this was my first threadless headset the detailed illustration that came with stem raiser was very helpful. I researched this before purchasing and even went as far as going to several bike shops to visually inspect stem raisers from other manufacturers. After doing so I concluded that this brand and model was of superior quality to the others I inspected.

Works perfectly! Raised my handlebars 3", exactly what I was looking for. Very easy installation, does require a lot of spacers which are included, of course this would depend on the bike model and size.. I did have to replace my front disc brake cable and housing, the other cables were OK, but cut pretty close, so watch for the length differences. My only beef was the finish, it was more of a satinand I would have preferred a matte. XLC or Satori inc. makes 3 different sized models 1",2",3" and the description is vague on which one is shipped. The smaller two risers are only a one bolt clamp, while the 3" is a two bolt which is the only one I wanted. I guess you would have to go by the picture which shows the proper riser. Amazon or their vendors can be very indistinct on what exactly is being sold on some of the merchandise descriptions and or illustrations. Having to return product always stinks.

needs to have a couple more spacers (at least 1 10mm) to make to xlc adjustable stem fit properly. other than that this is a great product for a very good price, very well satisfied

It worked perfect for my needs, and was easy to install. Great quality and all needed parts came with it. Yeah!!

I used this on my new mountain bike and it worked great. Very secure, and I was lucky I didn't have to extend any cables. I'm really enjoying my more upright riding position. No more sore hands and wrists from leaning over so much. My back feels better too.

This item is exactly what I wanted. It did everything it was designed to do. My bike always had handlebars that were too low. The XLC stem riser fixed the problem. I also like it because it is adjustable for height.
