Great Value
Though I was sure it was not going to perform they way I needed for my gaming rig that I was building. It performed well for the most part. It is now going into another computer that will be handling nothing but rendering and art. So not disappointed for being a 3rd gen proc.Pro: great price for an older cpu if you are going to be doing office work and maybe some light streaming.Con: Definitely not for gaming unless you are playing some older games or you have a mobo that will allow overclocking of non k processors. I have the z75 pro 3 Asrock. and though I never overclocked this proc. I have overclocked my i5 2400 from 3.1 to 3.8 with no issues. It may be worth it to check it out if you are on an extreme budget for building an intro to mid level gaming rig.Would be great for home office use as well.

Excellent upgrade, went to 2 cores
Purchased to go in a HP Gen 8 Microserver. Excellent upgrade, went to 2 cores, 4 threads at 3.5GHZ for just over $100. Before it was Celeron 2 core, 2.3GHZ. Server now has some 'snap' to it, where before it was just very slow. I didn't believe how low the power requirement was (15 watts), works great, no excessive heat. A server doesn't need a huge amount of speed, but this hit it right on the head... Was also considering a Xenon 4 core CPU, glad I didn't spend that extra money, would have been overkill in the server.

i3-3250 3.5GHz
I purchased the i3-3250 3.5GHz for a budget HTPC/gamer and couldn't be happier. It handles everything without hesitation. CS:GO, Skyrim and Fallout 3 all at high settings. If your looking for the best bang for your buck look no further.System:Fractal Design Node 605Intel i3-3250 CPU @ 3.50GHzKingston HyperX Fury 8GB kitGeForce GTX 750 Ti SCCorsair RM Series 450-Watt ATX/EPS 80PLUS Gold-Certified PSU2 - Samsung 840 EVO 120GB 2.5-Inch SATA III Internal SSDSeagate 1GB HDDMicrosoft Windows 8.1ASUS VG24BQE 3D Monitor 144Hz

great performance for the price
Bought it so my brother would stop complaining about lag in minecraft. great performance for the price. Make sure that your power supply is adequate if you are stepping up from a celeron.

So far, so good
Mated this processor with a new ASUS P8H61-M mobo and Kingston 8Gb ram. Been running 2 days solid, still installing and updating, but no glitches or crashes, purring like a kitten. Running Windows 7, 64-bit The fan that comes with this processor is super quiet and VERY easy to install.

Delivery was faster than expected. The processor worked fine, but the cpu fan was defective. Intel is shipping a replacement to me.
