I purchased this to make large ice cubes for drinks. It works great for this application. One day, I made a large batch of shredded chicken with the plan to freeze most of it for future meals. Normally I would have just packaged the leftovers in Ziplock bags. Since I had these molds sitting around, I put some of chicken in one of the molds. It worked great and now I have six equal portions available for whatever recipe I try that needs some shredded chicken. I never thought that I might needs a kitchen tool for this application but now I use it all the time.The only negative is that the lid does not fit very tightly on the mold.

This is a very effective product. The ice cubes coke out as very well formed squares and the sillicone tray is very durable and flexible. Making ice is so easy now. Turn the tray over and place on top of the container. Push down, the ice pops out nice and easy. Then put the lid on and store in the freezers. We easily replenish and keep a good stock of ice. The lidded container doesn’t take up too much room as my freezer is only small, and keeps it clean and hygienic.

The base silicone is good and sturdy but the hardened trim where the lid latches failed catastrophically after 2 months and only a few uses. Very disappointing for the price.Now outside the return window, we’re going to have to trash or find new uses.

Now I know to some, ice is not that big of a deal. But let me tell you, I like my ice a certain way and it can make or break a good drink.I was curious if this was a good deal. It is a smaller more convenient ice tray. As I have made a couple rounds of ice in it, it has really impressed me. The cubes are a little smaller than the normal ice tray. Overall though, the ice last much longer and maintains it shape through a good drink with plenty of refill opportunities using the same ice.The tray itself if easy to clean and maintain. The clear box (ice cube holder) is ok at best. The lid doesn't fit all to well and I would not recommend making your ice inside the box. It takes a lot longer for the ice to freeze. I decided that I would just use the ice box to just hold the ice and also double the box as a ice try stand in the freezer. Beings that the tray is soft made from silicon, it doesn't hold a great shape when filled with water. For this reason you need to be extra careful putting the tray in the freezer and allowing it to rest on something that is fairly sturdy.I definitely recommend this product to anyone who is looking for a lower priced quality ice tray that makes phenomenal solid long lasting ice!

Arrived with a cracked lid - not really usable straight out of the box. Very disappointing, especially as it was a gift for a friend, to by the time it was their birthday the return window (which is very short) had closed and I'm down £30. Go somewhere else, it's not worth the risk.
