Best cutting fast shaver till date !
i had bought this electric shaver as a birthday present to my husband as he would make all excuses to not shave saying its a mess and time consuming.. No wonder, he loved this product so much that now shaving is just a 5 minute pleasant activity for him..Pros1) WET AND DRY application, completely hassle free and easy to carry anywhere.. also, used for dry shave when in hurry and used with gel/foam for a very smooth close lovely shave2) very high cutting efficiency of the blades- this model from philips- series 9000 has proven high efficiency cutting blades which cut in 8 directions and adapts to contours of the face very easily3) does not irritate the skin and there is virtually no rashes/redness left after shaving.. very effective on 3-5 days of beard growth and glides smoothly without actually rubbing skin, just cuts the hair fine4) Easy grip which fits firmly and comfortably in the male hand and is big enough to make it non slippery, and hold well in palm5) safety features are good and can be used only after charging, it charges very soon and works good time for a small charge6) trimmer attachment lets u fine trim the side locks and give good shape and goes well in styling7) very easy cleaning, unit can be washed under running water, be detached, blades can be washed and even with gel/foam use, it doesnt get stuck inside of the blades or unit, can be easily air dried..!Cons- none till now , bit pricey though.. but u get what you pay for as results are very impressive

Comparable to a wet shave with a razor
This is the first time in around 10 years that I've had an electric shaver but I got a bit of money for Christmas so thought I'd treat myself.I've only used it 3 times so far but first impressions are really good. It's surprisingly quiet and while it doesn't sound all that powerful it actually does a very good job of giving a close shave, and thanks to its pivoting heads it even shaves well in the areas notoriously hard to shave properly such as the neck and chin.Naturally it's not as close as using a wet razor but it's really not far off, definitely much closer than I expected it to be, it also has the added advantage of being quicker and more convenient.I was hoping that I would be able to do away with my trusty wet razor altogether but unfortunately this is not the case because I have a goatee and need to be able t trim very close to it in order to keep its shape. This is something that the Philips shaver is unable to do and the enclosed snap on trimmer is next to useless so I do still need to use my razor for detail trimming.Apart from this minor gripe I cannot really fault it. It gives an excellent shave but then again, at an SRP of £295 it should do. I certainly wouldn't have spent that much on an electric shaver but due to getting money and vouchers at Christmas I ended up paying £95 for it, and for this price it was well worth it.

A Very Close Shave.
This is the latest in a long line of Philips shavers that I have owned. I have tried Braun in the past but I don't get as close a shave & I find them very noisey. After my last Philips broke, I did go back to a wet razor for a while before reverting to this Philips. I can say that there is very little difference between the results of this Philips and the wet razor which is a good result for any electric shaver. My only criticism so far is that the feel of the unit is much lighter in the hand than older Philips shaver that I have owned. Whilst the weight reduction is not necessarily a bad thing, it does give the shaver a slightly cheaper feel. The full list price is around £300 but it just does not feel like a £300 item. I managed to pick it up via an Amazon lightning deal for £100 which was much more reasonable. Whilst I am a big fan of Philips shavers, the last couple that I have owned have all died just over the 2 year mark - not really good enough for such an expensive item. I'll have to wait and see if this lasts any longer. If it doesn't, I think I'll probably revert back to cheaper wet razors.
