Wish I'd known better how to size these
I was relieved to see these and read several reviews before buying. My first pair of these arrived quickly however I soon found they were too large. I underestimated the size of my foot and should have gone a full size smaller since these are quite wide and true to the description. The width is fabulous, I just wish I had known better that they would fit me larger than regular sized shoes. I sent them back prepared to just get a refund however the company contacted me right away and gave me a choice of exchanging for another size; which I agreed to. I wish I had not had to pay extra for shipping them back but in the end they did turn out to be very comfortable sneakers for what I needed. I play tennis in these and use them quite a bit for hikes and walking in the park. Once I got the size down, they have been great. The strong shoe laces are great quality as well. I have lots of shock absorbed in these, especially when I play tennis and strike a lot of times with the front of my foot onto paved court. They turned out to be a great buy even with the $ extra to ship back for the exchange of size- I am very happy with the quality of these shoes; just wish I'd known more about the sizing.

Excellent shoes (and I usually hate New Balance!)
I have all sorts of feet issues (i.e. plantars fasciatis, heel spurs, collapsed arch, etc., etc.) and I have the worst trouble finding the right shoe. One that provides support, stability, no rubbing, and comfort while running. I am surprised to say, these fit all of those needed qualities. I am able to run 4 miles a day with all of the above issues in these shoes and I feel NO pain (or 20 miles a week). No rubbing at all, great arch support, just enough cushioning, extra room in the toe box, and very well made. I was hesitant because I have not had luck with New Balance in the past, but this particular model is excellent. This is the first shoe that after running 4+ miles in them for the very first time, I didn't have one single blister. It's as if they were already broken in. Very pleased. If you are looking for a great running shoe and tired of all the issues like I mentioned above, I would highly suggest you try these shoes out. They are well worth the money. Amazon sells them the cheapest, hands down. I have a friend who purchased the same shoe (older model) for almost double what Amazon is asking.

Fit Nothing Like NB WR1012
I cannot recommend these shoes.Toe box is way too narrrow, cramped, and pointy (triangular). I bought an extra half-size larger to allow wearing 2 pairs of socks. This model just does not fit comfortably at all. Assumed this model would be the cross-training version of the WR1012 which fits me like a dream and are so very comfortable, even though I do not run in them, mostly power walking.

Horrible for plantar fasciitis...
I bought these shoes because I had read in a couple of places THIS was THE shoe for plantar fasciitis. I had already seen a doctor and had a special orthotic made in addition to a night splint. To my surprise, my pain was getting worse, not better with each week I wore the shoe ( which was daily for work). I finally saw a specialist who did some gait assessments plus measurements and told me the shoes were only making matters worse. He told me to throw the shoes out and go to a softer insole and more flexible body . I went back to a NIKE cross trainer I had at home, and the pain has improved by 50% in a 2 days. Apparently this shoe is stiff and does not allow any heel movement to compensate for problems. Please check with a foot specialist before just randomly buying this shoe for plantar facsiitis.

Finally a shoe to replace the WR1011!!
Since the WR1011 is discontinued and mine gave out, I had to find an alternate shoe for my aerobic workouts. I tried several running and motion control shoes until I found the WR1012 that works for me. I even tried the 1012 cross-trainers, but they were not the perfect fit (they caused some numbness in several toes on one foot). So that I don't have this problem down the road when these wear out, I purchased a second pair of the exact shoe b/c I heard that this shoe will soon be discontinued as well. I am very pleased now and they are a perfect fit. I normally wear 7.5 in New Balance but ordered an 8 which fit perfectly. This shoe has a wide toe box which I like a lot for lateral movement. Actually, the fit of an athletic shoe is based on each individual and what they like and how they walk/run, etc. I just know these shoes work great for me and I am happy with them.

Pain Free Workouts thanks to these sneakers!
These sneakers were just what I needed to alleviate the foot and shin pains I experienced due to over-pronating (flat feet). I did a lot of research to find the best sneakers for this condition and these had the best & most encouraging reviews, plus the price was right.Your feet carry your whole body so I believe that spending money on good footwear is well worth the price. If your feet are bad, your knees and back will soon follow.Since wearing these sneakers, I've had pain-free workouts. My only complaint is that there is a spot that rubs on the inside of my heel and I developed a nasty blister that has since gone away. Even still, I wouldn't trade these shoes for anything and I will just wear bandaids there until the shoes are broken in.I ordered my size and also a half size larger, which I returned because they fit true-to-size in both length and width.
