Under Armour UA HeatGear Tactical Hood

This thing is awesome. It is made for the heat and to keep your head cool, but it works great in the cold as well. I did not want a super thick neoprene gator as my night job requires that I am active. This keeps my head and ears at the perfect temperature and the cut for different wearing "modes" is awesome. My only issue is that the back of the neck rolls up a little and doesn't seem to be long enough. Other than that it is perfect.

Pros: the hood is a good OD green. More items labeled OD green should be this color. It keeps you warm via not letting the wind hit your head or letting the heat leave your head. Akin to a breathable plastic bag. Very light weight and thin.Cons: the hood in the picture is NOT the hood you get. The mouth piece is sewn to the outside taking away the ninja look and giving it a mortal combat look. The main issue with that is when you put it on the hood will clamshell open and you have to finagle it all back into place. Hard to do with gloves. Then they sewed the bottom of the face piece strangely to the back of the jaw line which makes it pull directly at the nose (right kind of triangle). this is annoying since it constantly pulls the face piece down the nose and requires constant readjustment. Then there is the tightness of the whole setup. My head is of average size. My hats are large. This one size fits all nonsense is wrong. The one size is a medium. Know that off the bat. Because its a medium it pulls too tight on my nose which is the MAIN reason I do not use it. It actually hurt the tip of my model like nose. I should have just sewn my own hood....

This product has great fabric which is pliable and most of all breathable. Although this product does not seem to cover the neck area all the way down it is exactly the type of hood I was looking for. There is nothing wrong with this hood, for those of you who are willing to pay the money it is in fact a quality hood and worth the buy. Also remember that this is meant to be worn in hot weather not cold, it would seem that the fabric is to thin to be worn in the cold any how. 5 stars for this one.

Ordered this as a piece for my hubby's Halloween costume. Excellent quality, but what Under Armor isn't? The only thing I have to say is the Navy is very. very dark. So dark you will have a tough time telling the difference between it and black. You can see little tones of navy if you hold it in the light though. Good buy other than that.

I use it for paintball under my helmet and what is nice about it is that it keeps sweat away from the front of your face to the back of your head so it keeps any moisture from getting into the lens. I'm sure other people will find this feature useful. Only complaint is that it's a little tight on the nose but that just helps hold it up.

This was a overall good buy. It includes vents so that your sunglasses don't fog up. Even though I bought the wrong one, this is great for skiing too. There is only one thing i didn't like about it; the bottom of it was too short, and didn't cover my neck. I look forward to using it airsofting, skiing, and hunting.P.S. When i first opened the package up, I thought it was going to be too small, but it fit perfect.P.P.S. It says that it will come in like a week, it literally came in 1.5 days. Not Kidding

I got this hoping that it would work for my needs and it truly doesn't. I had hoped this would fit and work and it does neither of those things.First thing is that if you wear a medium size helmet or anything smaller then this will probably work fairly well. If you wear a large you will have trouble with this, if you are like myself and wear a XL or XXL depending on the brand of helmet it will most certainly not work for you.Pros:Material, it's a typical material that works well for getting moisture away from your head and letting it evaporate off.Cons... there are a number of them.The seams on the top of the head are thick and if worn under a helmet will dig into your scalp.The front lower face cover is attached all the way at the back sides of the hood, causes it to slide down the face easily.Size, this is not a one size fits all. only meant for medium to small sized heads.neck, on me the neck feels like it's trying to choking me because it's so tight. Meant for skinny necked people.Clam-shell design is horrible, it likes to open up and slide down your nose and mouth the moment that you start talking or move your jaw.Under Armour really needs to get their head together on their products and learn that one size does not fit all... (pun intended BTW).

I love this. I bought an inferior hunter mask and the most annoying parts about it were that I had to remove the whole mask instead of taking off part to reveal my face and it didn't grip the neck. THIS ONE however, fits nice and tight from head to neck AND can be removed in two different ways. I love how stretchy and versitile it is. I may buy the rest of the outfit
