Perfect for dreads! I usually get bad dandruff in the winder from wearing hats, the moisture and washing my dreads once a week. I used this and I have been flake and itch free! also just like there other wonderful products, it smells like heaven and leaves your hair feeling rejuvenated. will buy it again

I am 53-years-old and have suffered a dry, flaky scalp for the past thirty plus years. In all that time, I have used practically every anti-dandruff product on the market, including hot oil treatments, scalp elixers, scalp massage "therapy," etc. I recently read positive reviews for these Shea Moisture products and decided to give them a shot --and lo & behold, they really do work! WHERE has this stuff been all my life? I hope they keep making it forever.

I never write reviews good or bad. BUT this stuff is incredible! I have struggled with dandruff my entire life. All the normal well known dandruff control shampoos and conditioners make my face and body break out so I had given up for years and stuck with my usual moisturizing formulas hoping for a day or two before my head itched like crazy, and the flakes were falling. I have very dry, very curly red hair, and I straighten it a lot, so Ill go a few days without washing it to keep the straight in as long as possible. This product is a game changer. Not even kidding. It smells like an absolute dream and makes my hair the softest its ever been in my life! I had to use it 3 times before I really noticed a big difference in dandruff reduction, but now that I have, its incredible! Oh I love it so much. And the fact that its made without all the chemicals and other BS that shampoos and conditioners are made with is the icing on the cake. I will literally never use another product and Im getting the entire line forever.

I have had issues with dry scalp, off and on, for as long as I can remember. For some reason, it got really bad a few months ago and I had not made any changes to anything I was eating or using. I already use this brand's black soap for my face (which is the only thing that cleared up my skin), so I figured this might work too. After a few weeks of using this, my scalp has completely recovered and I actually have less issues with dry scalp than I did before. My only critique would be the conditioner pump. Once you start to get to the bottom of the bottle, the pump stops working. But aside from that small inconvenience, this is totally worth it!

My hair is a mixed bag of things from different textures, curly, and long, with Flaky, dry and itchy scalp. It's a hot mess. After learning about hair care from long haired ladies on youtube I realized what I needed was sulfate free shampoo and conditioner. So after looking and researching I bought this shampoo and conditioner. First time using it the smell really got me, almost suffocated me. I continued to use and it found my hair felt lighter, cleaner, and my ends didn't seem as dry. My scalp itch went away and my flakes reduced. If I did use this more often as the directions say the flakes would go away completely. The conditioner is good too. I feel I have to use a lot of conditioner to get my full 2 feet of hair covered. With the shampoo I just put it on my scalp. Though cause my mom uses the shampoo and not the conditioner I'm running out of the shampoo first. Also I got used to the smell and now when I smell the shampoo it just smells "clean." So don't let the smell bit sway your from buying this. If you've tried everything and want to avoid sulfates, get this. Also this is a good deal as I've found the individual bottles going for $20 each at other stores.

This shampoo and conditioner is the first product that has helped with eczema on my teen's scalp. We've tried traditional dandruff products and other conditioning shampoos, etc., but this is the first time we've had success. It has softened and alleviated the dry skin patches, and helped with the itching. We've tried other SheaMoisture products as well, and this has been the absolute best.

Amazing for my fiancee, not so good for me. I dont have a dandruff problem though, so it makes my hair oily. My fiancee has it pretty bad and this shampoo conditioner combo works wonders for him. It has a musky light full smell that reminds us of his dearly departed grandfather since it smells just like him. Since switching from head and shoulders steven has seen his hair bounce back from lifeless to bouncy and full sans dandruff (he has lots o curls).
