Best purchase ever!
Super great that I found this. It happens that I needed to take a trip out of the country and wasn’t sure what the coffee situation would be . So I bought this and have loved it ever since when I travel. It’s small, about the size of a travel coffee mug. And so it fits nicely in a bag , but also makes a good amount of coffee for a cup.It is good quality, super durable, and thick insulated steel.Super happy I got this and would recommend it to anyone who lives for coffee and want to make their own cup always…Best when used with a kettle for hot water or stove boil the water…. Otherwise the grounds don’t get hot enough to release the cofffee …

From a defective to a perfectly working cofee press
I bought this product a month after my husband passed away. I used it a few times when I noticed the screw in the plunger that holds the filter down to press the coffee was loose. I tried to make it work by screwing the part as tight as I can. Sometimes, it holds, many times it does not. I could not right away do a review or call the company as my husband's passing had me busy with establishing closure with institutions, the cemetery for the marker, lawyer, the apartment, etc.; all competing for my immediate attention. Then I had to go offshore. Now I finally find time, so I emailed the company about it, but did not get any response until now. So I have to write this review. It is a nice coffee maker for one person if only the plunger remains tightly screwed down to keep the grounds from going to my coffee. I am willing to buy the plunger but I don't have the confidence that it will not have the same problem. So, much as I would like the coffee maker to have a positive review, I could not as the product is defective, and I did not get a response from customer support when I emailed them.2017/04/16 I am revising the rating of this product from a 1-star to a 5-star. From an inferior to a superior product only with the replacement of a very vital part of the product. After calling customer support to report the problem, I was asked to email the particulars of the purchase, and immediately, I was sent a replacement of the defective plunger. Now the coffee press is working perfectly, and I don't have any complaint with it.When you have a problem with the product, and you emailed to report the problem but you did not get a response, do not hesitate to call their number and get a representative to listen to your complaint. You may get a a positive response and a solution to your problem as I did. I appreciate the customer service given by Mira Brands. Thank you. I will certainly recommend this product to my friends.

Great small press for a single person
My daughter is the only one who likes coffee in a family of tea drinkers. So I didn't want to get a large coffee maker, nor did I want the wastefulness of a cartridge machine. The other concern I had was that my husband doesn't even like the smell of brewing coffee, so a french press was appealing because it would minimize the residual smell. This press is a great solution for us, I am so very happy with this purchase. I have been using it for a week and it works perfectly for us. It fills about a mugful of coffee or about 3/4 of our travel mug; perfect for her before school. If you want multiple cups, I would go for a larger press. The process is super simple:- boil water- put coffee into the press (about1-1/2 tablespoons)- fill it with the boiling water- put the top on without pushing down the plunger- wait 3-4 minutes- push the plunger down all of the way- pour your coffeeI read reviews for other presses that were glass/pyrex and opted for this one because of possible shatter issues. I am really happy with the quality of this press: it has a nice thickness/weight to it and seems well crafted.I imagine the coffee stays warm for a while in it due to the design, although I tend to pour it right away. It isn't too hot to touch and pour though, so that makes me believe it is well insulated. The only possible flaw that I can see is that it pours a bit slowly, but that may be a part of how french presses work. I'm not a coffee person, so I'm not sure. I know that it doesn't really cause a issue for me.

Just right!
I'm loving this little french press. First of all, it matches my dishes and kitchen perfectly. (Sometimes it is the little things...) The aesthetic of the design is really spot-on! But, more importantly to the rest of you, it does the job! It took me a few cups to figure out the perfect amount of water to put in to fill my cup to the right level so I can still add my flavored creamer, but I finally got it! My only complaint, and reason for only 4 stars, is that the plunger doesn't go down quite far enough. It isn't "squishing" the grounds quite as much as the glass one I had before. I suppose that is to leave room for people who like super strong coffee, and add more grounds, though. So, it's all good. Oh, one other complaint is that the ad says it includes an extra mesh filter, and mine did not come with an extra one. I'm sure I will need that eventually, so that is a drag. As far as cleaning...yeah, it is TIGHT. But, rather than taking it apart (so far) I'm just using an old toothbrush to sort of get in there and get the grounds out. So far, so good. I would buy this again, and am actually hoping they have a large one in the same color for when I have other people over for coffee and need more than one cup at a time!
