Melissa & Doug Royal Family Wooden Doll Set,Multi,4 inches

We have slowly been adding Melissa & Doug toys to the puzzles that our daughter already has. The wooden construction feels substantial in all of their products and makes me believe that they will actually last long enough to be passed down to another generation. Not many toys produced in the last 20-30 years could. You definitely pay more for M & D, but I'd rather do that than buy something of lesser quality and have it break or need to be thrown out instead of passing it down or giving it to Goodwill for others to enjoy. The long durable lifespan is refreshing compared to the throw-away products that are the norm. Out of a dozen or so M & D products purchased, we've only had a small problem with one puzzle piece coming apart. M & D customer service was excellent and they sent an entire new puzzle right away! Can't recommend them enough!

These are lots of fun for my girls, I love that they are wood and the clothes have lots of details. We have a lot of melissa and doug products. The four stars is because when we recieved them upon opening some of the details on the peoples clothes were coming off. Nothing that my glue gun couldn't fix but still not what you.want to have to do when you purchase something new.

I can’t believe how expensive these are for what you get. It’s a nice set that goes well with the M & D castle but they’re almost like stick figures, really expensive stick figures. Unfortunately I can’t find a better alternative royal family for the castle. The things we do for our kids, sigh.

We bought these at the same time as the pink Melissa and Doug castle. I thought they were cute and looked durable. I somehow thought my daughter would want 'real' princess toys too and bought a small collection of disney princess babies (little girls). Two months later that set is either broken (heads came off) or clothes missing and I don't think we have an intact doll left. So this set where the clothes aren't removeable and they're built to last is the one I prefer! She has great fun with the characters and I like not having to hunt down little pieces.

We got the Royal Family Wooden Doll Set to go with the Melissa and Doug Princess Castle. Our daughter just LOVES the whole set! They are high quality and go with the castle perfectly. She got this set, along with the castle and the Castle Furniture, for Christmas and she has played with it every single day since. Even her older brother enjoys playing with the set. Lots of fun and high quality! Great job again by Melissa and Doug!! The only complaint that I would have would be that the horse's legs are difficult to manipulate to a standing position after the toy has been played with for a while (they become loose). It doesn't seem to bother my daughter one bit though.

We purchased the Melissa & Doug Royal Family along with the Deluxe Folding Princess Castle for our daughter's fourth birthday. This is a great little set and perfect for the castle. We are fans of the Melissa & Doug line of toys and I love that this is not typical "princess"-fare so widely available. These characters don't have a pre-detirmined script; their story is as limitless as your childs imagination. Although not as "beautiful" as the commercial variety; I like the simplicity of these figures. For me, raising a daughter in a "Barbie" driven society, these dolls are a refreshing change!

I purchased this set for my grandchildren. I am familiar with Melissa and Doug's toys as I purchased them for my child care center. I find the quality of Melissa and Doug's toys to be excellent which is why I purchased the castle and the doll sets for my grandchildren. My granddauther asks for the castle as soon as she arrives at my home. She engages in dramatic play with the characters and seems to have a good time. I hear some interesting conversations as she plays with the dolls and furniture.

We use these figures with the castle blocks by FAO Schwartz. They bring the castle to life. The figures are well made and all can stand on their own. Some of the figures can be mounted on the horses; that adds to the enjoyment of playing.

We bought these for our daughter and within minutes of opening they were in the royal courtyard talking to each other, riding on the horses through the kingdom and being chased by dragons. They seem to be high quality so I don't have to worry about them falling apart in my toddler's hands. I think they're entirely darling.

Melissa and Doug wooden toys are wonderful. I buy them for my grandson, now 3, he gets hours of fun from them. In his imagination we travel the world skiing, skating whitewater rafting etc. all his friends (figurines) come with. They are all very strong and durable
