Versatile and durable and good battery life
I am a huge fan and user of Ridged tools. I use them aggressively, all the time.I have been wanting this radio for a long time because of its durability and versatility. And of course, for it's use of batteries I already own.Bluetooth, AM, FM, streaming, USB, AUX, and yes "there is an APP for that". It's all there. The APP was so easy to sync, I was shocked. No code to enter, just simply pair the device. So easy it caught me off guard HAHA. And after its paired, it jumps right back on after a restart.I have 7 cordless Ridged tools so it was an easy decision that this was the radio for me. I primarily use it in my garage, but the batteries make it easy to grab and go when I want to. And as durable this seems to be, I don't have to worry about it getting damaged in transport.Sound quality is really good. Stays crisp and clear at loud volumes. AM and FM pulls stations in just fine as well. Base and treble adjustments are super easy.It doesn't compare in sound quality to my home theater system, but hey, it's a portable radio. Nothing portable ever will.Battery life really depends on which ones you use. Not all Ridged batteries are created equal. The smaller the Ridged battery.... well you get the picture. But even with my weakest 8 year old Ridged battery, I can still run this radio a long long time. Couldn't tell you exactly how long, because I don't run it for long stents at a time. But as an example, I ran it yesterday for a solid 3 hours on volume level 17 and only one bar went down on the meter. So mathematically, I would assume you can get a 10 to 12 hour use with Ridged's entry level batteries depending on how loud you play it. I would imagine the Hyper Lithium batteries would last even longer. I have 5 Ridged batteries so if I decide to take it to the beach, camping or on the job, I know I'm good to go.It doesn't bother me that its a factory reconditioned Item. That could mean anything. I'm sure its been used, but this radio looks brand new. It does come with a 1 year warranty from the seller. And with most electronics (in my experience) If something is wrong with it, you will know fairly quickly. I have seen "factory reconditioned" labels slapped on products that a consumer couldn't figure out how to use LOL!Over all very satisfied with the radio. And if you already have Ridged cordless tools, this is likely the one for you as well.

Absolutely awesome radio
Ridgid has really made some great upgrades to this jobsite radio compared to the last generations. They slimmed down this model to make it a bit more versatile, but its still built extremely tough. The speakers are hidden behind a screen to help prevent dirt and debris from getting into them, and the radio itself is weather resistant. The screen will also provide added protection to the speakers do to falling and denting. The sound quality is unbelievably crisp, and can be heard easily on large job sites. you can adjust the base and treble to your liking, and you can also enter up to 10 of you favorite preset stations. That being said, the base really thumps on this radio and really adds depth to your music. The user face is extremely easy to use, and easy to see. The digital screen is bright and will allow you to see the time, station, battery etc. even in the darkest settings. It also comes with an AUX and USB port to charge your phone and/or play music. The 18 volt batteries last a very long time in this radio. A fully charged battery should last a full day with no problems at all. It also comes with a cord to allow you to plug it directly into an outlet if desired. The also include 2 AAA batteries that will prevent the clock from dying once the battery/electricity is removed. (the compartments in underneath). The Bluetooth works extremely well on this. My Samsung phone had no problems at all connecting to it straight out of the box, and it gives you a range of about 30' before it starts to breakup. If you don't want to stream the music, the AUX is another option for music playing. The coolest this about this radio is the Ridgid app that you can download on your phone. Its extremely user friendly, and allows you to adjust any function of the radio. You can change channels, adjust bass treble, set the clock, add or listen to preset stations, choose between FM, AM, AUX or Stream/Bluetooth, adjust or silence the volume or even download the user manual. The other cool thing that it allows you to do is record an audible track, and play it back on the radio. You can set a daily reminder that will alert you through the radio, or send a message to your phone. Not to mention, you can stream youtube, I Heart Radio and you mp3 music straight from the app. This is probably the coolest, most versatile radio out on the market for this price. It will hold up to anything you can throw at it, and it sounds great. I 100% recommend

Solid Product; Not the best, but great nonetheless
There's a lot to like about this. The form factor is perfect. It's the right mix of big enough for bigger speakers, while being small enough to pack easily. The fact that it runs on Rigid's batteries is a huge plus for me. I have 3 of their 4.0 Ah batteries. On the 4.0 Ah batteries, a fully charged battery will last 8-10 hours at medium volume. On high volume, it lasts somewhere around 6-7 hours. I suspect if you're using the 2.0 Ah batteries, you'll be underwhelmed by the battery life.I do wish this was cheaper. Don't mistake my lamenting the price as a condemnation of it. It's a great product. The whole thing is made of a tough plastic, and seems robust. But 100+ dollars for a bluetooth boombox? It's borderline too expensive for what it is.
