The color of the red case is awesome -- lighter than my red iPhone XR but still striking and deep. Fits the XR precisely. I have used Speck candyshell cases before and am accustomed to the somewhat sticky feel of that glossy case. This Sport case has a completely different feel - it's velvety soft, like maybe a hard rubber or leather. A very high-quality feel. It's smooth instead of sticky so it doesn't feel as secure from slipping out of your grip as the candyshell, but after handling it a while I don't think this is an issue. A prior review said that dust sticks to the case. There is some of that but it's very minor and not visible. Case is really well made in terms of protecting the phone. Multi-layers of protection and the back is thick enough to protect the protruding camera lens. So the case does tend to bulk up the phone a bit. This is the downside of the layers of protection. A temporary cheapo case I had gotten did not really protect the camera lens. The Speck Sport case has some unique features. There's a small knob on the side that you turn to set the mute switch on or off. Some people may not like this but I prefer the knob since flicking the tiny switch has not been easy for me. There's also a flap on the bottom end that covers the power port. I had a problem with a previous iPhone where lint got into the port and prevented the charging cable from staying in. I had to take it to an Apple store where they carefully scraped out the lint. They said this was a common problem. The flap eliminates the issue. All in all, I think the Sport case is a really high-quality product with a special look and feel.

So far so good. I like the exterior feel of the case because it isn’t slick but stuff does cling to it especially if you like to slide your phone in and out of your pocket. Wireless charging has no issue with the case on either. Only time will tell on this case’s durability and their claimed drop protection because I haven’t dropped it yet. If you want to add a pop socket be warned the texture of the exterior doesn’t lend itself it a great surface for the adhesive stickers that those products use but it can just get in the way of wireless charging capabilities anyway.The purple one coordinates nicely with my coral iPhone XR as well with just a peak of the phone’s color showing through around the camera cutout.Update: its now September 2020 and the case has done a good job. My phone has endured small drops with no problem (and my small children) but still no 6ft drop or flying acrobatic mishaps to the concrete. I did combine this case with a glass screen protector and been happy with the slim case and level of protection.

This phone cover had all the features I wanted: a bright color, grippy surface and highly rated for drop protection. A bonus feature for me is the mute/unmute switch. It's much easier to operate than the switch on the phone. I had no idea it would be so useful. Some users have commented that the switch keeps the phone from being sleek, but I think its usefulness makes it worth having.

this case is the best investment I made for my phone. I have 4 kids they always abuse my phone during tantrums my 2 year old son throws it as if his dad owns an Apple store and can get me a new phone. My 7 month old uses it as a chew toy , and ocassionally I find my dog sleeping on top of it. Recently the phone fell when I got out the car and forgot it was in my lap and I’ve been using the case for about 9 months now and it’s in outstanding shape. No chips in the cover , no cracks no fading. It actually does what it was meant to do. The ONLY con to this case is that I can’t get a pop socket to stick to the back because of the texture of the case it just doesn’t stick to the glue even then it doesn’t bother me enough to take away a star.

Former OtterBox defender user, was worried about fall protection on a different case. Had this one for about two weeks and so far it’s great. The case is grippy, but very smooth at the same time. It feels very nice in my hand. Added a tempered screen protector, which is such a better feel then the plastic on the defender.The mute knob is pretty cool, and I have gotten a number of comments about it. I have noticed on a couple of occasions that the phone has inadvertently been muted well going in and out of my pocket. Pretty cool little feature though that is different from anything else I’ve seen out there.As other reviewer‘s have mentioned the case definitely catches every piece of lint it comes in contact with. Not a huge deal though if you keep your pants relatively clean... We’ll have to see if it was stands the test of time. If it does, I’d say this is hands down the best case I’ve used to date.

At first the case seemed too slippery but after a day or two I guess there’s enough fingerprints on it for more traction. Got a bluish green color which was less expensive and I like that it’s easy to see in my bag or around the house. Very sturdy case with a raised edge for more protection if it falls screen side down.

This case strikes a nice balance between bulk and protection. I've been a lifelong Otterbox user, having both the Commuter and Defender lines. The Defender was too bulky, and I've been looking for an alternative with protection between those two cases. The Speck Sport fits nicely in that niche.Particularly nice are two ergonomic / feature parts of the case. One is the flap for the lightning port. This is well designed, and easier to open than similar Otterbox cases. It also has nice stress-relieving joints, so it's unlikely to tear off after repeated openings. Second, and most impressive, is the cylinder operator for the mute switch. This is usually a very hard part of the iPhone to operate with a case - yet this switch does a great job.Highly recommend this case. Only downside is the rubbery outside can grab lint in pockets - but that is a small price to pay.

Fist off, this is a solid case that is very protective. The phone has fallen from waist height on at least 5 occasions and my phone is in perfect condition. It isn't the nicest looking case and has a tendency to get covered in lint. For me, that isn't a deal breaker. I am not that excited about the design of the mute switch. I find it a bit hard to turn. I also am not fond of the design of the door covering the lightning port. It is spring loaded and can be tricky to keep open. Given that this case protects my phone, I'm willing to overlook its flaws.

XR購入時に一緒に購入したものが経年劣化で壊れた為、Amazonで購入。2年も使っていたので良く保った方だと思う。画面以外全面露出しない作りになっており、Lightningコネクタもカバーできるため端子部分に水が入る事なく、「端子内が塗れている為充電できない」といった事でイライラする事が無いのが非常にポイント高い(繋ぎで使っていたカバーが端子部分が露出していたので浴室で使った後は水気を抜かないと充電できずイライラした)反面、ケーブルで充電する際にカバーを外すのが若干面倒に感じるかもしれないが、無線充電に対応してるので大した問題では無いと思う。カバーの付け根部分が稼働する仕組みではなく、軟質の素材(樹脂製？)でおり曲がるようになっているだけなので、繰り返しの開け閉めや経年劣化で千切れてしまうところは改良して欲しい。消音モードのスイッチもカバー左面に設置されたツマミでON/OFF出来るようになっており、むしろこっちの方が使い易い。耐衝撃性能も高く、幾度か路面に落下させてしまったが、今に至るまで故障や破損はしていない。画面側は覆われていないのだが、フチの部分が画面より迫り出しており、画面を下に落下した際も画面が地面にぶつかることが無いようだ。XRを使っている間はこのカバーを使い続けたいと思っている。と言うか、後継機種に対応した同型のケースが出るまで機種変更したく無いとすら思う。同社の他の製品で使用しているターコイズブルーや他のカラーバリエーションが有ればもっと良かった。(初代購入当時から今まで赤しか見たことが無い)
