Sony ALTUS AIR-SA50R Premium Wireless Speaker

I really don't know how much simpler this set up could be? Took it out of the box plugged it in and pushed the power button, that was it. It sync'd immediately with my existing Sony Home Theater system and started playing. Give it power and you are done, does it get any simpler than that?The sound is good, it is not going to "blow" you away but then I don't think that any WiFi Speaker is going to do that. The only disappointment I have is the distance of the WiFi but then all WiFi / Bluetooth has it's limitations, so you have to expect that.Overall I am very happy, it is exactly what I wanted and the set-up was better that I could have ever hoped for!

The Sony S-Air wireless speaker is an excellent addition to my Sony surround sound system. I hooked up the wireless speaker in my kitchen so I can rock out while cooking up a storm. I'm not an audiophile, but I've heard enough different types of speakers to know good from bad and this is definitely a good speaker. It has plenty of watts to fill up the kitchen with great sound. Unfortunately, I believe Sony has discontinued the S-air line of sound systems. Nonetheless, if you already have one it is worth the money to add this to your system so you can have sound in another room. I plugged it in and it was playing my music from the other room within seconds.

Package received very secured and within time expected. The product was in great condition; however, the remote that was included lacked connection in the volume buttons even after changing batteries a few times. The remote does turn on and off. Overall product was to my satisfaction.

I really wish Sony hadn't discontinued these speakers and accessories. They really work well together with Sony's other related components and cost less than even the "latest" tech that do (or not) connect to WiFi, Bluetooth, or the web. I only wish that Sony made a broadcaster from the main stereo "Monitor" to remote speakers. The speakers have a standard headphone "In" connection that draws less phone juice than playing through crappy phone speaker(s). And it's an alarm clock too, in case you wondered, which I don't use (that feature). Very nice sound from the speakers, just wish they could be louder sometimes :)

I have previously been a big fan of Sony... for years!But this is one more in a string of disappointing products from Sony. They are getting really good at misleading buyers to be able to take additional money from them. The sound in this speaker is mediocre at best. It is very difficult to set up and I only had to buy these, at areound $100 each to serve as true wireless speakers for teh surround sound system I bought which had "wireless ready" speakers. For the wireless resady speakers, you have to buy a > $100 transceiver and a $200 receiver and then wire the speakers to the receiver... WIRELESS???Crazy... I am done buying Sony products... The system still won't even recognize theses as rear surround sound speakers... they are only good for sending sound from the system to another room.Pretty much useless and I still do not have any wireless rear speakers.

I purchased as a back up for the set of Sony Altus speakers I currently own. This was all that I expected. Nice speaker in great shape.

I bought this one for my bathroom in order to hear my news when getting ready for work in the morning. Clear sound and unit picks up the signal form the computer with no problem. I am very happy with it. I have the Sony system in every room, I love wireless like this. Thank you Sony.

I put this in the kitchen so I wouldn't have to turn up the TV so loud. It is a great addition to the surround sound
