Dymoece recommends not letting the pad's braking material wear thinner than 0.10 mm, but it certainly doesn't hurt to replace them sooner than that. My personal rule is to not let the pads get any thinner than the thickness than a dime. You'll also know that they have worn much too thin once the pad spring starts making contact with the rotor. If that is happening you know that you should have replaced the brake pads awhile back! How to choose bicycle disc brake pads? In my opinion you should run metallic pads if: -You are heavy -You ride downhill -The conditions are wet, muddy, etc. and run resin pads or semi metallic pads if: -you are light -Conditions are dry -You like lots of initial grab -Your riding is less hard on brakes i.e. dirt jump/street, XC, etc. Although I have now recommended pads for you to use, you have to make your own choices on pads according to your riding, the above list should be considered to be a guideline, and not used as a strict rule.

Wow! I am saving so much money on Sketchers shoes now with these brakes!
It takes a pretty hefty brake pad to hold my EBike back. She got a little weight to her and it takes a good lasting brake pad to slow my beast down. My bike can go upwards of 49 plus miles per hour. And can travel about 40 miles on a single charge. The Good - Worked great on my Mongoose Fat Bike. Perfect fit! Front and Rear.No loud noises you know like grinding and high pitch sound like car breaksWear clean gloves when installing these, Because why would you not?.After your brakes eat off that coating they have on them, these brakes stop nice and smooth, no jerking! They was the same color as my frame decals and my front rim! Awesome!Pads was easy to install, with nothing missingAt 47 miles an hour tho, these pads start to smoke, Like you just did a burn out.I was sending it down a long long down hill and riding the front brake, I looked down and there was smoke coming from the top of these. But to be fair none of these brake pads are made for EBikes like I make. Just to fast! The Bad - I can not think of any! They just work and they work good!I got to buy another set for my Electric drift trike, So I will be ordering another set real soon. The shipping was really fast, considering everything that is going on!If you need brakes for your Fat Bike, These work great!

Working Great
I purchased the Dymoece pads for Shimano Deore XT in Resin. They are installed on my son's bike which has a pair of Shimano BR-M765 Deore XT brakes on it. The existing pads weren't gripping very well and it was becoming a safety issue on single-track descents. The new ones are working great. Note that we typically ride in drier conditions, he doesn't weigh that much, and we don't do a lot of extended descents (we climb for everything). These are a great match for his riding style.Replacement notes: We replaced the pads one brake at a time (a good safety rule - that way if there are issues with the new pads or your replacement procedure, you at least have one brake that is known to be working). During replacement we removed the rotors as well and sanded them with 60 grit (3M Pro Grade - the good stuff with Cubitron) and a sanding block to remove any existing pad material and get the rotors nicely scuffed up, then wiped them down well with denatured alcohol. Finally, for rotor reinstallation we used blue LocTite and a torque wrench. The results have been fantastic, so I'm ordering 4 more pairs so that I don't have to worry about which ones to get in the future! These brakes are getting old, so the local bike shop didn't have pads in stock. $9 for new pads is a much better deal than spending $$$ to replace the brakes!

Good product, best upgrade for the buck.
Glad I replaced my stock brake pads with these. These kind are great for the bigger bike I have, with the weight of cargo, going often downhill many, many miles. They do make a squeak sound but it's not terrible. A way to reduce that is to minimize oil on the pads and disks. Rubbing alcohol helps also. It's just not overly loud or shrill, so it's well worth it for the safety and being able to stop on a dime even with extra weight.Good product, well made.

Poor braking quality for metallic and semi-metallic
I tried both the metallic and semi-metallic brake pads and both were not good with braking power. I did not want to get resin/organic pads because they wear down quickly, however, they have amazing braking power! They have not worn down yet and still provide awesome braking power. Purchase the resin/organic pads, metallic ones are useless.

Worked great!
No issues on installation. These pads are connected by a metal strip on the top, but the existing pads were not. However, it did not affect my installation. I'm sure the metal strip could be cut if it is an issue, but I found it made the brakes spring back open. Just make sure you get the right brakes for your bike. I just found pads that look like mine, and it worked! Great for the price!

Dangerous, these brake pads don't work at all when they get hot
The pads installed fine. The thickness seems a bit low compared to genuine shimano pads. After I installed them, properly trained the pads so that they give proper bite on the rotors. (going 20mph then braking fast a few times).Everything worked fine until I when down a steep downhill. It was a long steep and straight downhill where I had to engage the brakes continuously for about 15-20 seconds multiple times. After the 3rd time of long brake engagement, I hit the brakes and the stopping power greatly reduced. I even started using multiple fingers to try and lock the brakes but the bike just kept on rolling down.Lucky for me, this happened near the end of the long downhill and I was able to eventually stop.I immediately smelled burnt plastic smell.I tried the brakes and indeed they do not have much stopping power at all even after locking the lever.I had to wait a couple minutes before I start feeling decent stopping power again.Dangerous. My shimano pads never had any issues with the above described usage scenario. In fact, with shimano, I've gone down longer steep downhills with zero problems.Spend the money and buy genuine shimano pads.

Great for e bikes
I’ve changed my cheap last ones for this, and you can feel how stronger this ones are. In a e bike I’ve been using it for more than 400miles and still have more than half material to use it, the previous I had last 450miles

They stop, but squeak
Replaced my pads on a bike I bought in March. They oem started squeaking about 6 weeks ago. Thus they did not for several months. The oem pads still stopped effectively. Bought these, the most expensive from this choice.Didn't squeak the first 20 minutes on the road. JOY! Then started squeaking. On a day that was 70 degrees and medium humidity. And they squeaked after 20 minutes. Will leave this for a while and come back if I leave them on. Thinking I need to go somewhere else to find some pads that actually work and don't squeak.Really disappointing.
