Updated review: after just 3 months the back if the case had a bunch of pieces breaking off at. I had Scotch tape on it to keep it together. Hard plastic is clearly not the way to go. Rubber is better. I had to replace the case. I'm on my 5th case for this phone. This is my 2md update to this review, previous is as follows... I am starting to think they don't make good cases for the Galaxy note 8. I've never had a phone that I had to continuously keep buying cases for. This case marks the 4th one for my phone. This is my 2nd waterproof case. The 1st one was awesome, but my screen shattered one day for absolutely no reason I know of. I didn't even drop the phone. After replacing the screen, I decided I needed a new case. This one looks almost identical to the last one. Except it's all hard plastic. Where the last was thick rubber. I'd almost think the runner would be better. It is cool though. Unlike most cases the phone goes into the case screen down. Then a piece snaps onto the back of the phone. I have never had any intentions of getting the phone wet. I just like the idea of of not having to worry about rain. So I can't comment on the waterproof. Except that one day a month after I had the case, I noticed the trim was breaking off the part of the back that snaps on. I had to put Scotch tape on it to tape it back down. Then when I took the phone out of the case for the 1st time I saw several cracks in the case. It's just a couple months old and if you didn't know any better you think it was a couple years old. Unfortunately every case I have owned for the Note 8 seems to be of same quality. I've just about given up on a nice case. My Note 4 had 1 case for years. My S3 has it's original case & that phone looks brand new to this day. Somehow the quality of cases for the Note 8 has dropped. Oh well.

I just got this case and put it on my phone. I did the initial water test and it worked, perfectly. *Do the water test BEFORE you put it on your phone.The buttons are a little stiff, so far, but still responsive.The screen is incredibly responsive to touch. It's perfect!I was hesitant about the film over the camera but, it's perfectly clear! No distortion or anything!It's also very light and looks great. Looks exactly like the photo. So far, i'm very pleased!First review at 10 min so, i'll try to remember to update at a week out.***Update: 2 weeks later, I have yet to drop it in the snow.... mainly because we haven't had any, so I can't speak for it being waterproof while the case is on the phone. However, it has good drop protection, so far. The sound quality is not hindered and photos are perfect. I had serious doubts about photo quality but, i'm very surprised and impressed.My only "issue", if you can call it that, is that it takes a little extra oomph to make the touch screen respond but, just barely.It's a very light case and looks really nice with my phone. I have the orchid grey phone in the teal and clear case.So far, I would recommend this.

this did not protect my Galaxy Note 8 phone. It does not cover the edges well enough. I dropped my new phone, the screen fell off & the edge chipped & phone screen cracked. I believe the company should help pay for fixing my 3 week old phone!

I thought I was buying a good case but it has been the absolute worst case I've ever used at first glance it seems great but dont let it fool you, my phone was in excellent brand new condition when I put it in the case but now the back is shattered, when the case is on you cant hear anything from the phone its very muffled, and its already cracked on the corner, I made a mistake buying this case dont do the same!

Very protective of my phone even with case on. Unfortunately I dropped my phone and as I inspected the case I found a crack in the top corner. SO NOW I HAVE A WORTHLESS CASE THAT DID NOT STAND UP TO A MINOR FALL.

I'm a clutz, so I need a phone case that can handle drops at least once per day. This case is both adorable and durable! The marble look is interesting and feels classy, and the rubber sides protect my phone from drops, water, etc. My only complaint is that it's pretty thick, so to silence the phone you really have to dig your fingernail in to flip the switch. I'd recommend!

Did not protect my phone as it should have. Very disappointed and waste of money. Now I have to replace my phone.

so i gotta say this thing definitely did protect my phone from stuff i didnt think itd survive. and it was definitely waterproof...was, being the keyword because the case broke apart immensely. i mean its still together, and i JUST dropped it on metal weights, and the phones still fine. but the waterproof aspect is most certainly out the window with this many cracks. i decided to just spend another 10 bucks and get a more durable one this time :/if you arent prone to dropping your phone of a cliff though, this one was most certainly waterproof.
