Dakine Ella Laptop Bag

I wanted a bag that could be used as both a purse and a school/laptop bag so that I wouldn't have to switch between bags constantly. This works very well, although it does make for a pretty big purse. It's not something I will use when I'm not in school (except when I want my laptop or a binder), but it would be great for someone who carries binders/notebooks/laptop with them on a daily basis.I can stand a water bottle up inside of it, which is nice since it doesn't have any water bottle holder on it. The front two pockets are perfect for keys and phone, and the front zipper pocket is perfect for things like chapstick, lotion, mints, etc. I do wish it had more organization pockets in the big compartment - all it has is a padded divider for a laptop. It fits my 13" Macbook Air perfectly, even with a padded sleeve around it. It's very easy to overfill, though, and end up with a heavy bag. Not something I enjoyed carrying on a day of shopping - my shoulder was killing me!Overall, it's a great bag for someone who wants a laptop bag that looks professional and cute. It doesn't scream that it's a laptop bag!

This bag is durable and roomy but it could use more pockets. My friends say it looks like a diaper bag, which is not the look I'm going for. Comfy straps, nice print.

Pros: It looks super cute and seems rather sturdy.Cons: My 14" Lenovo ThinkPad BARELY fits if I finagle it a little. It is very heavy. It does not have internal pockets.

Dakine bags are wonderfully durable!! I'm an English teacher, so I always have a laptop, one or two class binders, and a heap of books to carry around. Dakine makes bags like this with a padded laptop pocket and comfortable shoulder straps. Plus the fabric and workmanship make the bag TOUGH! I had my previous Dakine bag for three years (I'd been buying name-brand leather bags that only lasted a semester or a semester and a half). My old Dakine bag never broke; I'm only replacing it because it's gotten too many stains.

This bag is very bulky and heavy, with my laptop I felt like I was walking around with a 10 pound bag. I bought another lighter, more low profile laptop bag that is much nicer and easier to carry every day. I'll just keep this as an overnight bag or something because it's too late to return it now.

Very cute bag, but it's on the small side. My 14 inch laptop fits snugly. If you use your laptop bag to haul around much else (like books for school), you will probably want something larger. If you have a smaller laptop and are looking for a stylish bag for the laptop ONLY, this is for you!

This bag is perfect! I have been looking for one that is appropriate for work and that I can fit all the things in it. I can put all of my purse stuff plus my 13' Macbook pro or my kindle, a book, and a notebook. It has a front zippered compartment and two small pockets with snaps for cell phone, keys, etc. The only thing I cannot figure out is what the fabric flap on the back is for, if they had just sewn across the bottom there could have been another pocket. Strange.

This is a really cute bag! I love the look of it! Based on conflicting reviews, I wasn't sure if it would fit my 2012 15" Macbook pro. I ended up calling the company as well, who assured me it would fit. It does fit, but BARELY. I had to fiddle until I got the procedure just right so that I can slip the computer in without a struggle. I debated about returning it for something easier, but the bag is otherwise perfect for me, so I worked at it. Now I barely have an issue. Purchase for your MBP only if you're a patient person.

Ich bin mit der Tasche sehr zufrieden. Sie bietet genug Platz für einen schmalen A4-Ordner, auch das Laptop-Fach ist A4-tauglich. Durch das helle Futter in allen Taschen findet man auch bei schlechtem Licht alles Notwendige ohne viel zu suchen. Sie ist gut verarbeitet und macht einen stabilen Eindruck. Einziges Manko für mich ist, dass die zwei kleinen Außentaschen nur mit einem Druckknopf zu schließen sind - wertvolle Dinge wie Schlüsselbund oder Handy würde ich daher nicht unbedingt darin unterbringen, sondern lieber in der Reißverschlusstasche.
