A good buy if you can finish sharpening on your own
This knife is bigger than it looks and by comparing the depth of the screw heads mine also has thicker scales than the one in the picture. I have medium sized hands and was still able to grip this without any problem and it was comfortable for cutting/chopping. My main gripe about this knife which immediately resulted in the loss of one star was that it arrived dull everywhere other than about 1" on the front curve. The point also had more of an axe profile for the last quarter inch that was duller than a discarded antique. This knife was easy enough to sharpen up to where it could cut paper so I have to assume that when it was made in Spain the worker responsible for this task must have went out on a 2-3 hour lunch break and siesta and forgot to sharpen it when he returned. After a proper sharpening I used this knife to cut off about a dozen branches of apple and apricot trees up to 3" thick and it was still sharp enough to thin slice a cucumber afterwards. The profile of this blade allowed it to chop just as well as a slightly heavier SP8 machete but without as much fatigue. There were no nicks or rolled edges so the steel seems durable. What appears too be a saw back is really only good for notching. The sheath was nice with belt loops far enough apart to go on molle gear. The handle retention strap design should keep it secure when closed and has a little bungee on the back which pulls it out of the way and it is unbuttoned and the knife is unsheathed. This is a big knife so sitting down against something with it strapped to your back is going to be a bit uncomfortable. There are cheaper Tracker type knives out there, but the biggest advantage with this one compared to those is that the edge (though initially dull on mine) is at least continuous through the critical spot in the middle. The transition on this one is gentle and can be touched up with a small sharpening stone when needed whereas the cheaper ones would require a bench grinder to even get close to having a usable edge.

If you are looking for a "tracker" this is your best option
The knife is perfect for any activity, well made, strong and very powerful, (see pics for measurements), is a big size knife for any activity you want, excellent quality scout position only leather sheath, black and sand color, This knife is the perfect company for camping or extreme survival activity, the handle size is fair enough for a medium to big hand and fits perfect, ended in a striker hammer knob, the micarta give a perfect grip in any condition and the color es fantastic. Made in Spain is guaranty of excellent quality. Highly recommended. Full tang with a functional and not aggressive jimping, and a lanyard hole, good quality firesteel with a regular striker included.

I'm envious of Omar G.
For the price range this knife has a lot of imperfections. I understand they are hand made, but little things like making the point of the blade even are kind of a must when the price range is over 100$. Yes, the knife is robust and feels solid in the hand, but i wanted a cleaner more vibrant knife; I'm talking of course about aesthetics. The one i received had a handle that looked like it was scraped along side the street or sidewalk. User "Omar G." posted photos of the knife showing an excellent pristine finish, the black lining is amazing, I'm so envious. I guess it's a roll of the dice in which knife you get. This is my [second] order of the knife by the way, so i am writing this in complete honestly as a guide to those who favor looks.Edit: As a collector of of high quality knives there is no hyperbole in my review, I am always honest. However, i did forget to mention finer aspects of the knife. For instance. the sheath included with the knife is a very fine quality leather with a secure strap. Also included in the package is firestarter for outdoor use. Excellent trinket if you do not have a lighter on hand. The ergonomics of the knife are extremely refined, this knife let's you know it's a chopper and gives you the security of a good grip with it's textured micarta handle slabs. It is a good knife... however i simply got a bad draw looks wise. I would also like to add that the company selling this knife is very concerned with customer satisfaction, and has got out of there way to look into these matters with me. For Excellent customer service, i am increasing the rating of this review from 2 stars to 5 stars.

Heavy and balanced, nice sheath, I love it.
I like it .... has good weight and balance. Despite some reviews, mine was sharp and I cut my finger ... Holster / sheath is make well for vertical or side mounting. Not made in America but it's high quality, and that's the bottomline.

Steel and Feel
The Good: Excellent feel in the hand. Not too thick. The steel is much harder than the ridiculous breakdown in the description. Much less chromium and much more carbon. Every bit of 58.The Bad: I know how hard this steel is because the original edge was applied by a 6 year old. A half hollow/convex failure. A total joke of a job. Plan on spending quality time getting the edge set to proper convex. Once this thing is a razor, it's a beast - which means it will shred the leather sheath in a heartbeat.Overall: Comes ok, but can be great with a proper grind and a kydex sheath. You're paying for the steel and the feel.
