Best Ball under $150?
Bought one each for my 9 and 12 year old. I was looking for a genuine match ball, but was a little surprised that is will cost you $150 to play with the same ball that Messi plays with. Did some research and found that the Numero 10 got great rating on soccer specific sites from consumers and professional reviewers alike.Better construction makes for a livelier, truer ball with a soft, controllable surface. The kids say that their old $15 balls feel like rocks compared to this. My 9 year old had to make an effort to hit an upper corner goal with a standard ball, and can quite easily elevate and direct the Select to the upper 90. They won't be going back to Dick's for another ball. From my perspective we will see if they last substantially longer. Better construction should mean less popped seems and peeling covers so I'm expecting to get 2-3 time the life. Since we've only had it for one indoor season I'll update later if they don't last.

not meant for adult leagues
the ball was ok for the first few month. we play once a week in a semi-competitive league indoor, and outdoor. at first the ball worked fine, then it started deflating, and stitches coming a part. We still use the ball as a second ball or warm up ball, but would never buy again. the ball is not intended to be used heavily or for adult leagues. the ball is made of thick materials, that would make it a great ball if it held up.

Great, durable ball
This is a great ball. We go through a lot of soccer balls, with cheap balls often lasting a week or less before they are torn or coming un-stitched. This ball has been played with every day and is showing very little sign of wear. It does leak a little air, as other reviewers have mentioned. I pump it up to 8.5 lbs, and it is down to 7 after 2 or 3 days. This is a small price to pay for a ball that holds up this well, and feels this good off the foot. Buy it, you won't be disappointed.Update: We're still using this ball daily, and it ends up being the match ball for my son's U11 competition team at most of his home games as well. This ball is awesome.

not all are perfectly round
Mine is not perfectly round when inflated. It has a bit of a bump out that makes it not round, which seems like a defect. I cannot recommend this ball because of that, but maybe I got a bad one. I bought directly from Amazon.com. The ball does need inflating on a weekly basis, but that seems acceptable. We use it, but it is not what I expected from a Select ball. For youths, we don't need a high end ball, but we still need a good ball for games.

Great for the player looking to take the next step.
As with any select ball, the bladders dont hold air as whell as the cheaper branded balls by the other shoe manufacturers. What you are buying is a true Soccer ball with a perfect bounce and roll for outdoor surfaces.I have two kids that play all season and all they use are Select balls. The club we play with only uses select balls, they hold up great and stay round over multiple seasons. Footnote wwe have a sponsorship with an apparel company that makes nice balls but we choose to pay for Select's value and quality.Player and Coach for u10 rep and u6 instructional.

Select is an excellent quality brand for the price
This is a very impressive ball for the price. Quality of stitching and surface holds up to extensive play and exposure to weather conditions. As a longtime soccer coach i've used more expensive versions of this brand through our school system but this is the first one that i've purchased for myself. I'm very impressed with it and will make this my go-to ball for future purchases for my personal use.

Best practice and personal ball.
Great practice ball. My indoor soccer facility uses these explicitly. For the price I haven't found anything better. The outer is a great texture- not cheaply plasticky and nice and flexible.Weight is perfect- heavy enough for solid kicks and not too heavy for the headers. I don't ever feel like I'm heading a rock.Air retention is good- I play 3x per week and only need to pump every other week or so.Price for all of this is amazing. If you wanted a better ball the next logical step would be to pick up one of the match-ball standards from Adidas.

Excellent ball, endorsed by coach
Daughter's travel team coach often picks this ball for scrimmages and has commented that it is excellent. Seems to hold air fine though we were prepared to have to adjust weekly after reading some reviews (its latex bladder apparently excellent but this is an inherent shortcoming). Ref often chooses a Select Ball for games. My daughter is really proud to carry it and forgot all about her previous pink ball.I like the simple white with black/red/gold lettering. Back to what's important.Really does make a difference in terms of touch. Great price, cant go wrong.
