O'Neill Men's O'Riginal 2/1mm Back Zip Jacket

This is a back zippered 2/1mm long sleeved/jacket wetsuit top (it wears like a long sleeve shirt).Pros:The thickness of this wetsuit is best used in water temps around 65-70 degrees but could definitely accommodate colderI found the wetsuit comfortable and stretched nicely without bagging. Like any wetsuit top, the waist area of the wetsuit may ride up a little when sitting on the board etc.The provided sizing chart worked for me.In days past, I've tried close necked wetsuits and have always found them to be overly restrictive in/around the neck - with this wetsuit being the exception. I have not had any issues of the wetsuit being loose enough around the neck to let cold water in when duck diving etc.The bottom of the wetsuit seems to be a little longer. I questioned it at first but found that that little extra length coupled with the snugness of the area around the waist did a lot in preventing cold water from entering into the wetsuit bottom every time you duck dive etc. etc.The zipper runs about 60% of the way up your back and greatly helps in getting it on and off (vs no zipper models). When all the way down, the zipper has a simple but very functional velcro strap that prevents the wetsuit zipper from opening up when duck diving, bending etc.The length of the zipper strap (the one you open and close the zipper with) is adequateCons:It's 1mm in the arms and about half way up on the sides.. I haven't had an issue so far but can tell that the material could tear if not careful when taking it off or putting it on.* I've read some negative reviews concerning seems, sewing etc. but haven't experienced anything after about 15-20 outings...I think it's a good product and at a fair price.

When compared to the Billabong 2mm, the Oneill 2/1 was superior in terms of flexibility, comfort and style. I have used this for about 10 hours between April and May in NC and SC, so we are talking about water around 70 F. I was concerned with the 2/1 configuration, but it kept me quite warm.

This is an awesome pull-over jacket. I don't know why everyone is getting away from the back half zipper (I'm sure it's a cost issue), but this makes it so much easier to pull on and off. The last couple jackets I had didn't have this and it was a real hassle to pull them off. It's also nice have the 2/1. I'm in So Cal and a 1mm is often just not enough. Great wetsuit top at a really good price.... Stoked!

This is a great product for those in between days when the water or air has just a little nip. I love the zipper in the back for easy on/off. The problem is, I have worn this TWO TIMES, and already the stitching at the bottom is coming undone. I normally praise O'Neill for their quality but this is horrible. And of course to send it to get fixed I have to pay for all shipping, etc. and its just a pain. I will update if I hear from them with positive service, but otherwise, sorry, two stars as quality on mine sucked.

I have a 38" chest, but I ordered size M because my height & weight are closer to that range. The fit was close but not snug enough to keep water out. Going just by chest size, the size guide predicts that result, so maybe chest size is the the thing to go by on this fella...

I am 6'1", 200 lbs, 44" chest, chose the XL and glad I did...I think the size chart from O'Neil is accurate...I tried it on and jumped into our pool to see if it fit and how it felt...It felt great, fit perfect and I am very happy with this purchase...I plan on using this in mid January down in the Caribbean, pretty sure this will be fine...I will try this again in Dec before the cruise by jumping into the pool again when the water is in the mid 70's...Fast delivery, a little expensive but you pay for quality...

Compared to a nearly identical jacket made by a competitor this product was a total bust.First, I sized up as was suggested and it is still hilariously small. Even if I had gotten the right size this does not appear to be an athletic cut as the arms were super tight compared to the torso's moderate tightness.Second, the interior is the scratchiest and least comfortable neoprene I have ever felt. Feels like its lined with a burlap sac.

Great for the cooler waters in between summer and fall. The chest has full rubber with same grip on board as my full suit.I’m 6’ 200-205 and the arm length is great, length is standard and hits right at my hip bones. If they would have had a Tall version of this with an internet Cara 1” I would have bought it for the body length. The arm length is perfect as I have longe arms and torso and don’t like the sleeves inching up as I paddle so it will be fine. Will be worn when I dive also when deep and rash guard wouldn’t be sufficient.
