Great for a party! Everyone loves making the beautiful rosettes, not to mention the taste of the fabulous cheese. I have not used it for chocolate...We have given as gifts to our children and no one has had a problem with any part of the Girouette. Its a great gift for the person that has everything!

Fast shipping on something one does not see very often. I really enjoy having it as I live on cheese.

This worked well with my monk head cheese. Beautiful flowers. The flowers were better when the cheese was out of the frig for a time. Need a certain kind of wrench to keep the screw in that holds the wood handle on the blade. Mine keeps unscrewing and falling off. Annoying. I don't have the right tool I guess. Husband needs to address this. Have not tried the chocolate mold so can't comment on that. My guests went nuts for the yummy and beautiful cheese flowers. Cheese is pricey but this entire process is special occasion kind of thing for me. Willing to spend a bit more for special times. Would recommend this. Made my recent party.

This makes the perfect Tete des Moines ruffles. It is easy to use and clean. I am excited to make the chocolate ruffles some day. Fun and festive!

Did not curl cheese or chocolate

Great to use with Tête de Moine cheese!

As a fan of Tete de Moine, I have used my original curler on over 10 heads of Tete de Moine. Since the chance of getting a second curler came up, I decided to get one that's different from the Boska Holland curler I already have. And with more accessories, what's not to like? WRONG!On screen, this Swissmar Girouette appears to be a good deal, as it comes with curler, a dome for covering your cheese (would be an accessory for the Boska Holland line), and a chocolate ring mold. But after I received the curler and used it on my first head, the savings seem to evaporated from thin air.On the first head of cheese, the pole that is screwed to the board, seem a bit wobbly. After a few curls of cheese, the blade seem to be having trouble curling (need a lot of effort), and warped under pressure. And when the party's over, I took the blade off to clean, sure enough, there is a bow on the blade. Shouldn't a blade that's meant to curl cheese, be able to handle curling cheese without warping on the "first head" of cheese?The dome that came with the curler is a good idea, and fits nicely. I did not use the chocolate ring mold.So, if you are going to use it to curl chocolate, perhaps this is a decent enough curler for that. If Tete de Moine is what you want the curler for, perhaps you should opt for the Boska Holland version, or make sure you buy from Amazon where they will take returns when the blade warps on the first use. I had to return mine after one dinner party where perhaps just 1/5 of a head was consumed. I'd avoid until a version 2.0 with stronger and stiff blade comes out.

Love the way it makes the cheese lacy. It is a great conversation piece at parties. it has been alot of fun to use.
