SUPERB!!!!
This phone is built like a Mercedes Benz, BMW or AUDI. The phone's metal case has a heft and polish that plastic would be hard pressed to match. The calling features are simple and easily used. The voice quality is crystal clear and natural. The keypad works smoothly with distinct clicks. The display is well laid out and multicolor. If you desire the phone can be customized to your hearts content.Simply a sublime product. Buy this handset and the requisite base phone, you will not regret the purchase.Siemens/Gigaset have made the perfect cordless phone system in my opinion.

If nothing else works, this is the one!
If you have trouble with coverage, this phone works great. Unfortunately each phone works independentlty and they do not sync phone numbers, ring tones. etc.

Not quite what I had hoped
Technically - this phone does everything that I wanted. It talks to a Bluetooth headset, it downloaded my contact list from Outlook, it automatically answers as I lift it out of the cradle. It feels hefty and solid. My disappointment? Two things. First - I have the volume cranked and it just isn't loud enough. If my hearing was bad - it would be totally unacceptable. Unfortunately, I am at the age where that time isn't far off. At the moment, the problem is that I have a senior citizen relative who's voice is hard to hear on the phone. On my other phones, I crank the volume to hear her - on this one, with the volume all the way up, I'm straining to hear her.My second problem is that the headset is not at all comfortable for me to use. The top of the phone cuts into my ear during long phone calls. It always feels uncomfortable. It is even more so when I speak to someone I can't hear well, and I unconsciously press the phone tighter to my ear.I haven't decided to send it back yet. I have a home office where I take a lot of customer calls. I'm going to see if this works well for me as a Bluetooth only phone.

Not worth the money!
This phone has been nothing but a NIGHTMARE! This review will not be perfect. I will spend as little time writing it as possible given how much time i have WASTED trying, and trying, and trying to get this phone to sync properly to address book on my Mac. Every time i make a change and want to update the phone, it takes me FOREVER to get this hunk of junk to sync. I could enter the number and name faster by hand.Siemens phones may look good, but that's where the fun ends. They are not very well made or designed. Others have commented on how well made this phone is... I'm not sure what they're basing that on, but this is not quality in my view. I have two handsets and one of them has a ton more light leaking out from around the keypad than the other. There shouldn't be any light leaking unless it's the way it's designed, but it's easy to see that's not the case here. If the voice mail light is lit up and blinking, it lights up all the other buttons around it... yes a small issue for sue, but it just looks sloppy, not crisp and clean at all, not what one would expect from a phone costing this much $ for sure! Bottom line is the key pad is poorly designed. With all that said, the interface may be the weakest part of this phone. It's almost like we're back in the early 2000's. It takes 5 steps to call someone back who just called you, and the directory on this phone is just like my Razor phone from back in 2003. Come on guys, Get Real! It's 2010!I think home phones are being used less and less, and therefor no one wants to put energy into designing a high-tec home phone these days. Where are all the "smart" home phones? This one is anything but smart. Where are the home phones with the iPhone type interface? Believe me i looked, and this is the "best" i found? It's just sad. If i had it to do over again, i would NOT buy this phone!

Died after 11 months
The hand set had pretty good sound quality and a long range but it malfunctioned after 11 months, and after a long correspondence with Siemens they concluded that it was in fact dead. This took two months and took us beyond the return period with Amazon. Thanks guys.

Nice
I would have to say that this is the best cordless phone I have used to date. Works great and perfumes like a champ. I highly recommend it for the advanced user.... I say advanced because it is not a simple item to setup and utilize all of the options it has. Going to take the average tech person several hours to set it up correctly. But for the person who knows what they are doing it can't be beat....

Amazing Phone
Graet look, great feel, great quality. Low speaker level for hands free use.Leave it to German to make something this high level of quality.

I got this several weeks ago for my home office dedicated line. I have to say it is the best phone I've ever had. The volume is low so to resolve that, I have a Panasonic KX-TS3282B and I use a splitter so that I can have a clear speakerphone. And at times when I just don't want to hold the Siemens in my hand for long periods of time, I also have a Plantronics Savi Office WO100 headset that is DECT 6.0 attached to the Panasonic.I've killed the ringer on the Panasonic and removed the handset coil cord from the handset and base. I made termination plugs for both the Savi connection from headset to phone and the handset. One only has to remove the handset from the cradle and hit the on button on the side of the headset. No lifters needed. When the call ends I hit the button on the headset to turn it off and put the handset back into its cradle.I will say that I also would like the volume on the Siemens to be louder, but until they come out with a firmware refresh that addresses the issue. I'll have to do.The other thing I like about this phone is that you can upgrade the firmware and if you registered your phone, you can get email notification when updates are available.I will say that so far I've not had any of the service needs some have had.
