Ultra-light materials and a streamlined design make this vest ideal for long-distance training and elite-level racing. Available in multiple sizes and equipped with two Quick Stow flasks, the Ultra Pro vest puts comfort above all else. The vest is made with 3D vent mesh—an ultralight material that guarantees maximum airflow on sweaty runs. It also offers plenty of front storage pockets for easy access to fuel, water or salt tabs, along with a secure zippered pocket that fits most smartphones. The back features several stretch pockets that can store extra layers on cold days, but also accommodates an additional reservoir for longer self-supported runs. We’ve also added reflective accents throughout, so you’ll always be visible on early morning or late-night expeditions. Sizes: S Fits Chest 28 inches - 34 inches, M Fits Chest 32 inches - 40 inches, L Fits Chest 38 inches - 46 inches

Design is good enough but construction is flimsy
This was my first vest, so I wasn't quite sure what to expect. It's got several qualities: it's reasonably comfortable to wear, even when fully loaded with a 1.5l bladder (not included..) and the two soft flask in the front - that's enough water for a 3 hours run in hot weather. The lack of a magnetic system for the bladder tube wasn't an issue for me since I'm tucking it under the bottom from strap, where it's not bothering me at all. It's really a vest and not a backpack: don't expect to pack much in the back if you use the water bladder, but you can store sunglassses, a shell and some cereal bars in the back pocket. The side pockets are quite convenient for bars or gel (or more, see below). The mesh is really nice and feels good even in hot weather - much more so than comparable packs I've used in the past. The front cords allow for efficient adjustment depending on the load: I'll tighten them a bit when the water bladder and bottles are less full, and that works fine. Now to the bad part:- about that back pocket: things may fall from it so careful how you store stuff. Plus, if you load it to capacity, you'll have to take everything off when you refill the bladder: no way to put a full badder back in if there's stuff in there; plus, the bladder's big opening design makes it hard to refill without taking it fully off.- the phone pocket on the left shoulder strap is horrible: if you carry anything more than a clamshell from the 90s, it's going to push against your collarbone in a very unpleasing manner. I'm not using that pocket anymore, storing a packet of tissues there instead - phone stays in one of the side pockets, which is fine is you're a bit careful when you put it back in.- the two small pockets on the right shoulder strap are weird: you can't fit anything in the top one; the bottom one can hold a set of car keys, but just barely. When racing I can stuff a small hydraflask soft cup there, but that takes some doing... Why not have just one reasonably sized pocket...?- the MAIN thing: after three month of use, the vest is virtually falling apart. OK, that included some trail running, including some encounter with bushes, but nothing more than what you'd be expected to do with such a vest... Seams are getting undone at three or four different locations, and repairing them is going to take me hours. So basically I'm guessing CamelBak is banking on its reputation and doesn't pay much attention to quality anymore. A bit of a disappointment.

Great pack, light weight

Cool Hydration Pack
I like that it is light weight but that also means pockets are minimal. But I suppose packing lite is not necessarily a bad idea.

Check out the full CamelBak range before buying.
When you buy a CamelBak product you know it's going to last, and there are no faults with the quality. However the design leaves room for improvement. Firstly the drink bottles still taste like they are made with fertiliser. I have washed them repeatedly but they still have a strong taint to them. Note that the water capacity is limited and won't last more than a 60 minute run on a hot day. The back pocket is a little too small and any sweat soaks through to the contents, so I've had to put my mobile phone into a plastic bag. The left zip pocket on the lapel is idea for my mp3 player but the two small pockets on the right lapel are next to useless as they are too small.

Favorite hydration system. Ever.
I am not an elite racer--I am a solid mid-to-back of the pack person. I am out there a while. I loved this hydration system. The fabric is a nice mesh, so it's cool and allows air to flow. There are two flasks (included) that sit up front, for easy access. Also if my flasks are right front of my face I will drink more often (these are 17 ounces each). You can also add a bladder (not included) in the back, if you are doing an endurance run where you need the extra fluid. There are lots of pockets. My IPhone 6S (the large one) fits in the stretchy pocket on the left. There is no zipper, but there's an elastic at the top. It seems pretty secure. I never worried about my IPhone bouncing out. There are trekking pole pockets on the back. There are pockets for gels, salt tabs, ear buds, and you can even stuff a light jacket in the bladder pocket, even if you have a bladder in there. My absolute favorite feature is that the straps that secure the vest across your chest are completely adjustable. The straps have hooks and it's very easy to unhook them and fiddle with where you want the straps. This means if you are a woman you can adjust the straps so that they are above and below your bra, or wherever else you happen to want them. Awesome!I really can't say enough good things about this pack. My only nit is it might take you a few tries to get the fit really dialed in, because there was a bit of bounce on my runs. The cords are also fully adjustable, so you can pull them as tight as you like across your chest. But that's so minor. I really love this pack. I wish I had it years ago!

Bad phone placement
Didn't end up keeping the vest. I wanted it so that I could take my phone running with me. It does carry the phone, but when you run the phone is bouncing in your face and its...

Well made and useful.
CamelBak Ultra Pro Hydration Vest is a really useful item. I had never had a hydration vest before and wondered if it would be actually something that I would find a use for.

Way Over-priced as Bladder is Not Included!
This is a nice hydration vest and fit my girlfriend well and was fairly comfortable. We were very disappointed, however, as this only includes two 17oz water bottles, and NO...
