Better than expected
I've packed and repacked this bag a number of time. It has proven to ve more flexible than I initially anticipated, could become my daily workhorse. Here are my insights, with some comparisons to a few YouTube "reviewers".* Bottle holder is limited to 16 oz water bottlel. False. The water bottle pouch will hole a 40 oz HydroFlask with no problem.(1)* Can you fill up the interior mesh pockets, and still stuff the main compartment? No.Depending on how the main compartment is packed, the mesh pockets could "eat" into that space. For example, I initially tried to pack an 18ox Stanley food container, with the lid the main pocket opening. The pouch wouldn't close due to the contents of the mesh pouch (and the water bottle in the designated pouch..- Solution: (1) reduce the contents of one mesh pouch; and (2) don't use the water bottle pouch, instead run one of the compression straps through the bottle handle, and cinch the bottle of the bottle with the other strap. Nice to have options.* The CCW area is also useful for sundry items, and things you want to keep close to your body.* Does the quick release buckle squeak? Not with my load out, but YMMV.* Is the quick release buckle hard to open? Yes, if you try to pull the buckle with oy hands. However (and this could be a recent addition), the buckle includes a corded strap. The strap makes it very easy to open, even on the go.* Do you need two hands to close the buckle? Well, I have closed it with one hand. However, I would recommend using two hands (for most people) to ensure that the buckle is closed tightly.* Is the wide star a PITA? Not for me. I've used other sling bags, and found that a narrower strap will fatigue my shoulder pretty quickly. Admittedly, I do tend to overload my packs; but that is why my regular EDC is a small backup with a 4 liter sling pack, for the essentials. This bag is very comfortable, and may replace my normal setup (with a reduced load, of course.)Bottom line: the bag is sleek and trim, and can carry a descent load. The ability to sling it to the front is very beneficial when getting in-and-out of vehicles a lot. I really like this bags, and would highly recommend it; if you have a fairly minimal load, are 5'7, or taller, and don't mind the extra wide strap.

Great sling bag!
It lives in my Harley Davidson Road King saddle bag with a change of clothes, a bag of toiletries, a small IFAK, rain gear, sneakers, a small foldable umbrella, keys, cell phone charger, and some emergency flashing lights. If I impromtly stop for an overnighter or get caught in bad weather I'm all set.
